Advantages: Chilled & Relaxed sound

Not normally my type of music but was pleasantly suprised after hearing this. Classed as R&B though some songs are quite upbeat and may be classed as pop. Released in December 2008 this album has 14 tracks on it which include his best hits such as Right Now (na na na), Beautiful, holla holla, over the edge and freedom. Only around six of these tracks have already been released so over half the cd is new material which you would not have heard. This cd is definitely a class above his last album Kollaberation and the fact that it can be brought for around £6.00 makes it a real bargain. It sold over 110,000 copies in its first week such is Akons popularity. The album was originally to be called 'Acquitted' but was changed to 'Freedom' as it was considered to be less negative. His music on this album seems to have taken a different twist from his last with it sounding much more laid back and relaxed. For those with children it is his first album not to come with a parental advisory warning though some strong language does still occur throughout the album.
