Adam Green made his fame with anti-folk heroes The Moldy Peaches, singing dirty-raw super-sweet melodies that offend and captivated in a shockingly good way. He, along with his bandmate Kimya Dawson have gone on to do solo work. Adam is a wonderful musician. His music is intensely modern and your grandparents are guaranteed not to like it. With the Moldy Peaches he was singing about the modern american city-hipster sub culture. Songs about innocent love and finding the meaning-of-life in fast food burgers joints while shouting about crack cocaine. Post-modern, ironic, punk, it was all and none of these.
