For their very first album, recorded when all three members were only 15 years old, "Frogstomp" rocks as much as you would expect it to. All three obviously were very experienced in playing their instruments, and their overall musicianship shines beautifully, but this album falls short in a few ways for me. For a start, the lyrics just aren't very good at all. I know at that young age they're not going to be producing anything too intense, but you'd expect something a little more than "there's no bathroom and there is no sink, the water out of the tap is very hard to drink", which just seems like the first thing that came to ...

Pre-Natalie Imbruglia and Pre-Illnesses, this album was Sliverchair's debut. And what a debut it is! I do believe that the guys in the band were 15 when this album was recorded which makes this album all the more fantastic! On first listen, you wouldn't guess that Daniel Johns was 15, but he is. So, a buch of kids let loose in a studio with musical instruments, what are they going to sing about? How bad their life is? How poor daddy is? How crap school is? No. Silverchair sing about everything but themselves. My favourite song is "Israel's Son" cos it's just so great! At first, Silverchair were dismissed as a "Nirvana is pyjamas". ...

Silverchair have come a long way since they recorded this album at the age of 15 but with songs such as Isreals son, Suicidal Dream and the classic Tomorrow its one of their finest offerings. Silverchair penned most of these songs under the name 'Innocent Criminals' between the ages of 13 and 15 but they hold up along side most bands best offerings. Since the Tomorrow EP was released with songs such as Tomorrow, Acid rain, Blind and Stoned Silverchair have went on to become one of Australias greatest exports. Frogstomp maybe doesnt offer such rock anthems as Freak and Anthem for the year 2000 but they do have Madman which is their heaviest offering to date. ...
Products similar to Frogstomp - Silverchair
Aspera Hiems Symfonia - Arcturus
The continuing evolution of (melodic/symphonic/progressive/whatever) black metal.
Deviates from the band's roots and tends to lose the atmosphere.
Angels Of Venice - Angels Of Venice
Approachable and entertaining neoclassical music.
Too much reliance on obvious cover songs.
Anna Netrebko - Sempre Libera
Classical - Opera & Vocal - 2004
Another Side - John Barrowman
Some great tracks, a consistently impressive voice, great bloke
A bit dull and dirgey at times, some over-used songs
Anchors Aweigh - Bouncing Souls
Good Reflective sing-along songs
Might be disappointing if your a fan of the Souls old sound.
All The Lost Souls - James Blunt
A quality album from start to finish - Absolutely Brilliant!
Short album that can be heard in less than 40 mins
All The Stars & Boulevards - Augustana
Bright music, listener friendly
The odd weak track, lacking imagination
Alienigma - Agent Steel
Some more repetitive groove metal tracks if you really needed them.
Old men have lost their way and try to get back in touch; the result is merely competent.
A Healthy Distrust - Sage Francis
Refreshing Change
Some tracks in the middle feel like filler
