FROM NASHVILLE TO MEMPHIS provides material from Elvis Presley's recording sessions in both of those cities made between 1960 and 1969. The previous release, THE KING OF ROCK 'N' ROLL was a 5 disc set with the 'complete' masters from the 1950s - this one is subtitled the 'essential' masters Vol. 1 - this is because Elvis recorded a lot more material during this period, and so some selections had to be made.
