Newest Review: ... of mine include "My Tambourine", "Misery" and the rock n roll standard "Louie to Frisco" - I ... more  ... have to say that the album wanes a bit towards the end and it may not have been worth adding the additional 4 songs because they don't seem to have much panache about them and surely go down in history as some of Chuck Berry's songs - it's pretty clear why they were left out of the intiial one. The track "Song of My Love" is an absolute row in Spanish, a gooey love song with over the top vocals which has nothing in common with Chuck Berry's usual work.

This album "From St. Louie to Frisco" was originially released in 1968 - it has since been re-released on CD with 4 additional songs on top of the initial 12. It's a pretty strong album with some catchy tunes, nice guitar solos and quite a complete big band sound to add to it. Favourite tracks of mine include "My Tambourine", "Misery" and the rock n roll standard "Louie to Frisco" - I have to say that the album wanes a bit towards the end and it may not have been worth adding the additional 4 songs because they don't seem to have much panache about them and surely go down in history as some of Chuck Berry's songs - it's ...
