Whilst Enslaved's more recent albums are heavily influenced by the likes of Pink Floyd and Yes, their 1994 album "Frost" is a very different beast altogether. Based around ancient Nordic mythology, 'Frost' combines Norwegian black metal with folk influences to create a powerful piece of epic Viking metal. One of the best albums from possibly the most influential band of all time Some of it sounds dated

Heavy, Great to listen to None!

Diverse, half acoustic, half electric A bit dated

The most accessible Viking metal, with memorable songs. Tends towards similarity.

Great example of folk power metal. Elements clash to some extent.

Unadulterated heavy metal for genre fans. Mix Judas Priest with Helloween, and dilute.
