A couple of years ago, Lewis, the elder of the two dave27-ettes, and his mates were absolutely obsessed with the whole Full Monty thing - they had never seen it mind, they were just fascinated by the curious craze of getting naked in public and as his birthday party was fast approaching there was an inevitable schoolboy plan developing in their young heads. There are several songs on here that I wouldn't usually give the time of day to, but as the soundtrack to "The Full Monty" they work really well, so I do sometimes find myself playing this. It serves mainly as a reminder of the film, of course, so that I tend to enjoy Donna Summer's "Hot stuff" because I think of the scenes where they are practising their moves in the DSS Office. Tom Jones' 1996 recording "You can leave your hat on", is always going to be associated with the film, and strippers in general, too. Great stuff. Let's assess the album on musical terms though.
