Neon Genesis Evangelion - Soundtrack

I like my anime. And this is one of the biggest anime series out there. However much it has going for itself, it annoys me to no end. Its the usual story of a post apocalyptic Japan, where there are monsters (Angels in this case) attacking and its up to the mechs (giant robots) to stop them. As in usual Japanese animes the main characters pilots of the mechs are teenagers. However this is where the similarities end. Most animies are rather uplifting and simple. Bad guys, good guys and a love triangle to boot. This does have all of those, but its so much darker. There are constant references to religion, and the Bible.
