Advantages: Some excellent dancehall/reggae

Disadvantages: A few duff tracks

Yellowman probably has as many enemies as he does fans with his homophobic feelings often sneaking into his lyrics, whilst not quite as mouthy as Buju Banton, he's definitely up there in the offensive stakes.

Offensive lyrics apart, the albino reggae artist writes some superb stuff with memorable catchy lyrics, a superb rythm and a fairly melodical voice in the vein of Dillinger. Musically it is exceptionally simple, often fairly slow as well but subtle changes in the beat make the tracks on this album quite grabbing and awesome for dancing too.

Galong Galong Galong was released in 1990 and is often considered the best album by the artist, personally I prefer Mister Yellowman. Stand out tracks are the title-track Galong Galong Galong, Throw Mi Corn and Money Make Friend, in contrast possibly the dullest track on the album is Reggae get the Grammy. It's not a particularly long album with the majority of tracks being around the three minute mark but the similar length and beat to some of the tracks does leave you with the feeling that quite a few of them sound the similar.
