Superman The Movie - Soundtrack

Premium Review You will believe a man can fly to music (363 words)
by ElChupacabra - written on 30/07/09 (Very useful, 6 readings)
Rating:

I just read the other review on here and a fine one it was. Alas there is no chance for me to review the movie itself since neither the DVD or blu-ray (of which I own both) is listed. However the music is special by itself. Quite simply, this is the movie of my childhood. Whilst I grew up a Trekkie, Superman The Movie was the one I watched the most as a child. It is quite simply a cimematic milestone. Anyhow, I will save that for a sunstantive review one the blu-ray is listed. John Williams really hit his stride in the 70s and 80s. Star Wars, ET, Indiana Jones...these are scores that truly stand the test of time. Who doesn't know the main these from these movies? ...

Superman The Movie - Soundtrack

Crowned Review WGA, pt.4: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's John Willia ... (2614 words)

fourth score, which includes brand new themes composed by Williams himself. The set also includes an additional disc with Ron Jones music from the 1988 animated Superman series, and Various other alternates and bits and pieces on an eighth "extra" disc. And one must not forget the hardcover book that is included over regular liner notes for a release that is simply stunning in its value, its attention to quality and detail, its comprehensiveness, and its sheer notion how this has been a real labour of love for the label. Unfortunately, all this excellence must come with a price, and this price is a rather hefty $120 on the mark, added with a limited status of ...

Premium Review Take The Long Road And Walk It (1633 words)
by Andy.mack - written on 07/09/03 (Very useful, 72 readings)
Rating:

Imagine if you will a time long, long ago, well in fact the Thursday before Reading festival 2002, so not that long ago. Faced with the prospect of the prodigy on the main stage on the Sunday night I suddenly noticed that The Music were on the Carling stage. Well to say the tent was packed was an understatement so we missed them. Well fast forward a year to Sunday night at the same time at the same festival and The Music are on the Radio Stage and we're at the front. A year is along time for a band but in that year they released their self titled debut album. So that debut album, was it any good well that's hopefully what I aim to tell you in this op. Before the album I?d ...
