Advantages: 'motorcycle emptiness'

Disadvantages: the other 17 tracks.

Maybe it's me. Maybe it's because the album was made in 1992. Maybe it's my taste. I don't know what it is, but when I bought this album I was bored to tears with it. The only half decent track on here is 'Motorcycle Emptiness' and even that isn't all its cracked up to be. Having already been a fan of the albums 'Everything Must Go' and 'This Is My Truth...', I decided to see where it all came from, and buy the first album. Big mistake. From the first few tracks, it never really does much else. A few chords, a few intelligent- ish babblings here and there, and the rest is just over produced punky, crappy rock.
'Repeat' is ok, 'Slash And Burn' is pretty average and 'You Love us' gets very tiring after a few listens.
It's all pretty much the same glam punk rock
all the way through, without any diversity or originality, or maybe that's the whole point, just straight punk rock, whatever it is, the album is poor.
It sounds horrifically dated due to its production technique, and to be honest, its just boring. Sorry, but it is. If you want to get a Manics album, try the others.
