Premium Review Get Ready To Party - Hermes House Band: Absolutely Rubbish. (339 words)

Rating:

As a small sideline to my other review for their ingeniously titled 'The Album,' I felt it my duty to warn you of a similar album which exists by the same band. The Hermes House Band are best given a wide berth. They mean well, but the music is just horrendous. Highlights Well there aren't any, so the review will be rather scathing. 'Live Is Life' means little and is quite rousing, but even the apperance of chubby DJ Otzi cannot save it from being a pile of eurotrash. The Story So Far - Spunge
A couple of decent tracks, the music is quite fun and upbeat. Some of the tracks have a habit of plodding along in tiresome fashion.

The Godfather II - Soundtrack
The most varied use of Godfather themes in a nice colourful package Sound quality still needs work and a few source songs should be excised.

The Golden Hour - Firewater
Great lyrics, great music, superb album! None

The Head On The Door - The Cure
The singles are a delight, the production is AMAZING, and the band has a good line-up No glaring flaws, Screw wont appeal to everyone with it's incomplete sound

The Last Millennium - Chinchilla
No ballads. No memorable songs.

The Lines Of Unreason - Pitchblend
A pleasant album, the songs are well constructed. The album lacks oomph, extremely similar in sound to Placebo.

The Look Of Love: The Very Best Of Abc - ABC
Great Music. None

The Middle Kingdom - Cruachan
Folk metal classic, covering a range of styles and moods. Sometimes the deviations are too much.

The Pink And The Lily - Sandi Thom
The ballads are a bit better this time around Not quite so many catchy songs as her debut

The Spell Of Retribution - Chasm
Epic death metal done properly. Influences show through a little too much.
