Worth a purchase (Getaway - Reef)

I bought the new Reef album a few days after release and I wasn't sure what to expect. Having bought Rides and liked it I wasn't sure what they would do next.
What they have done is, made the music more commercially acceptable but without losing too much of the edge that was present in their early stuff, like Place your Hands etc.
The CD starts with the single 'Set the Record Straight' which is quite good but there are better tracks on the album. Track 2, Superhero, is one of them and so is the title track. They have also thrown in a ballad-type number in All I Want which is excellent.
This is the best album I have if you want to cheer yourself up, it is a sing-a-long album with catchy chorus' and riffs, ideal for first-thing in the morning, driving in the car and pretty much anytime of the day.
If you are a bit worried because you don't like Gary Stringer's voice, he has mellowed a bit so no need to worry.
Reef have made a blinder - go get it now!!!
