"By All Means Necessary" came in 1988 and was the second B Boogie Down Productions album. It saw massive changes since the classic debut "Criminal Minded" as the MC to the group was forced to do things alone due to the death of DJ Scott La Rock and so KRS-One brought this one out with a new direction as after a early East coast Gangsta Rap offering that was his first record, this one would see him removing all of this in order to rid the Hip Hop generation of violence (which would have prevented Scott la Rock from being shot dead) by bringing this political offering. 1. *My Philosophy" The record kicks off with a track that sees him coming with a ...

"Criminal Minded" came out in 1987 and is often considered a classic album in the Hip Hop genre. It was strictly the first and final album from B Boogie Down Productions (BDP) as not long after its released, DJ to the group, Scott La Rock was gunned-down and left KRS-One alone. It was one of the first albums to do what is now commonplace in Hip hop as much of it concentrates upon Gangsta rap, and this new take on Hip Hop had only just emerged about a year prior to this with the rise of the work from Schooly D, especially the track "PSK", before the West coast seemingly took over soon after with the emergence of N.W.A, ice-T and Too $hort. 1. ...
