Non-stop rock from glam bad boys

"Girls, Girls, Girls" is the 4th studio album by American glam metal band, Mötley Crüe. It was released in 1987 on Elektra Records and produced by Tom Werman. The line-up for the album was Vince Neil (vocals), Mick Mars (guitar), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums).

"Wild Side" is one of those songs that instantly make you glad you are a metal fan. With 118 beats per minute and guitar distortion used during an intricate chord progression, the song has a complex feel to it while being as wild and untamed as the lyrics suggest.

Title track, "Girls, Girls Girls" written by Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars is all about the band's love of strip clubs, riding motorcycles and living life on their own terms. The motorcycle rev effects add so much to the song.

With a key change midway through the guitar solo, "You're All I Need" has been described as 'the best ballad Mötley Crüe have ever written'. The romantic sounding title belies the grisly nature of the lyrics, telling of romantic love gone wrong. Nikki Sixx wrote the song as a play on the Jack Wagner song "All I Need", when he believed his then girlfriend was having a relationship with Wagner, never intending at the time for it to be recorded.

While some of the songs may not be suitable for the younger listener, this is glam metal at its finest. Mötley Crüe proves once again they are at the top of their game. I'd recommend this album to anyone looking for music to bring out their own wild side.
