In December 1986 Guns N' Roses released the EP 'Live ?!*@ Like A Suicide' on their own label UZI Suicide. Only 25000 copies of the EP were made and it contained just four songs, two of which were covers. When the band became successful following the release of the multi platinum 'Appetite For Destruction' the EP became a collectors item and was selling for anything from $50 - $100. Guns and Roses were more than a band to me. They represented a state of mind. They happened at a time in my life, which was full of the usual teenage angst, the whirling hormones and a feverish love of rock music combined to make them, to me at least, the most important thing on the planet at that time 88-91. After the sublime and amazingly successful Appetite for Destruction they released G?NR Lies. A collection of old and new recordings which quenched the thirst for new material while the band squabbled and fought about going into the studio to record the second album which turned out to be the ultimately disappointing Use your Illusion compilations. ...

Aah, a wander down the lane that we call memory, how nice to see that little changes and some music will always be as exciting and as great to listen to as always. I have to admit it - I loved, I still love and will continue to love Guns 'n' Roses for quite a while to come. Their Rock 'n' Roll lifestyle, the hippy looking guitarist "Slash" and the foul-mouthed Axl Rose (yes, we all know it's an anagram - don't we.....?) on vocals were the epitome of what I thought a great life would be (I've since grown out of that, thank God!) and back in my teens I was something of an avid fan.
