Ambient - Moby

Premium Review This is different to 'play', but still good... (383 words)

albums good, but at first you may not like it. The tracks grow on you the more you listen to them, and by far the best track is one where Moby gets a good piano melody going. If you haven't heard any moby albums before, your best of with 'play' but if you know his music, and like it, this is a good one to buy. If you bought 'play' and then buy this, you'll have a shock, as the music changes completely. I did this. At first I didn't like the album, but seeing as I had already ripped the music onto my pc(for my use only, I respect copyright laws in all ways)I listened to it, and it grew on me, and now the albums 'ok' in my books. lacking the overall Moby style, and so does pale against other albums by the star. J Breas and Myopia seem to be the best songs oon there, providing a good mix of music, and emotion. House of Blue Leaves sounds like a child on a Bontempi keyboard, and a few other tracks leave a little to be desired. If you're a big ...

Premium Review PLAY it again, Moby (482 words)

treated to glimmers of his brilliance. The opening piece - simply titled Hymn - is a beautiful start. Anyone who, prior to hearing this album, had considered Moby to be nothing more than a dance music techno-head [myself included], will be in for a BIG surprise when they hear this haunting opener. The piano work is wonderful and the overall tone of HYMN is extremely relaxing. Moby (real name Richard Hall by the way) moves into more typical and familiar dance territory with the next couple of tracks "Feeling So Real" and "All I Need Is To Be Loved" - both of which are a highly addictive pieces. The mid-section of the album (from track 4 ...
