Advantages: Excellently produced, catchy songs from start to finish

Disadvantages: Not long enough.

Rihanna first burst onto the music scene in late 2005 with the reggae influenced 'Pon De Replay'. Since then she has established herself as a leading force in the Pop-RNB market and third offering 'Good Girl Gone Bad' further cements her position as a force to be reckoned with.

Mixing catchy pop with dark, slick RNB grooves Rihanna knows how to spin out track after track that will no doubt stick in your head for days. With the worldwide smash 'Umbrella' kicking off proceedings it's clear this record is going to be a winner from the start. As well as Jay Z's contribution to the lead single label mate Ne-Yo lends his dulcet tones to 'Hate That I Love You' one of the song's slower efforts but shows just how much Rihanna's voice has improved from her first two albums.

A personal highlight is 'Breakin Dishes', the violent, smashing melody backed over Rihanna's angsty vocals is surely screaming for a release and with the dancefloor smash 'Don't Stop The Music' sampling Michael Jackson's 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin''
Justin Timberlake also lends his producing talents to 'Rehab' - the result a slow, eerie number not a million miles away from Timberlake's own hit 'What Goes Around...Comes Around'.
Whilst the album does have a few tracks that stand out like a sore thumb for being horrendous [such as 'Push Up On Me' and 'Say It'] there's something here for everyone.

Rihanna has ensured that with a little help from her friends she will be around for a very long time to come and with song after song being packed to the brim with pop goodness this album is a masterpiece. I'm not usually a fan of RNB-Hiphop inspired music but this Rihanna always manages to get me hooked on whatever she releases.

Summary: Favourite Tracks: Umbrella, Breakin Dishes. Great album.
