Vincent Vincent and the Villains were one of my favourite new bands about 4 years ago, but I was due a long wait for a proper release, after co-frontman Charlie Waller left the Villains to concentrate on the Rumble Strips. Digging out battered 45s, Vincent Vincent was bringing back 50's rock'n'roll with a swagger, but the band's debut album "Gospel Bombs" proves that they were doing a lot more than just that. "Beast" is a flamenco flavoured track, showing off Vincent Vincent's guitar skills, with an infectious opening riff and the two guitars playing off each other nicely throughout the song.
