22 year old Daniel Bedingfield was the media darling in 2001 after his self penned song 'Gotta Get Thru This' shot into the charts at number 1. Now, over a year later, he seems to have become the media's punchbag, and is ridiculed on a weekly basis, but the reason behind this change has never been clear to me, as I don't think he became arrogant after his initial success, and I think a lot of naive comments he made were later used as ammunition against him, but why should he not say how good he thinks he is? The Gallaghers have done it for long enough! Another case of build them up so we can knock them down it appears. Opening song of the 13 ... Read the complete review

Despite writing so many reviews, I have yet to publish a music review on Dooyoo. The reason is that music is so subjective, but I thought I would dip my toe in the water with this album. When I was a younger lad, I used to be friends with the whole Bedingfield family, going on holiday with them and all sorts. Anyway, a few years back, my mate Nathan said to me "Andrew, Danny's number one in the charts". I knew Danny was a musician, and guessed he meant an indie chart or DJs playlist, but when we went to HMV that day there he was in the number one spot, with Gotta Get Thru This, the title track of this album. Let me take you through a few ... Read the complete review

**Introduction** Back in 2002 New Zealand Born Daniel Bedingfield burst onto the UK Garage scene with Gotta Get Thru This. He moved from New Zealand as a young child with his Family including sister Natasha Bedingfield who followed in his footsteps by becoming a recording artist too as has their sister Nikola who has made a name for herself as a jazz singer although you may not have heard of her just yet but she is known in Jazz circles. Daniel Bedingfield became a huge star in 2001 when he released his debut single Gotta Get Thru This, It was entirely produced in his bedroom using little more than his computer, a few musical instruments and a few ... It seems to have been a while since this man was gracing the UK charts with his presence, this album serves as a timely reminder of just how captivating his music can be. Who is he: New Zealand born Bedingfield was raised in London and found fame quickly, off the back of his number one hit 'Gotta Get Thru This.' On this album: You get the big number one hit of course, 'Gotta Get Thru This' is a frantic dance based track. Utilising a garage esque beat, Bedingfield works some sprightly vocals over the top. This track has a great rhythm with some some neat little hooks tucked in it. 'James Dean' is a rockier affair, the lyrics ... Read the complete review

I remember when i first started listening to this album, in the middle of 2002 and i heard about half of it, and then i listened to some songs the year after, and this year i listened to the rest of it. My conclusion and it took a couple of years to listen to it, no reason really just that i can only stand a couple of songs by Daniel Bedingfield at once - my overall opinion is positive, i think it's a strong album and even more impresseive that he made it again at home. Blown It Again, is pure brillance - i felt like screaming towards the end half but it's so out there and comparable to Robbie Williams style of music, Daniel carries it off great - full of ...
