I think this album is good for somebody else's ears, not mine.

Once you thought 1950's and the 60's swing music was dead then you take a shot from a friends advice and they say "you got to listen to this. Sincerely, if I would of made a review after my first listening the title was going to be " hand me a barf bag please !!!". This is my sixth time listening to this cd and I'm beginning to see some creditability in this album. But I will stick mostly alternative swing music.

I see trends of Amy Winehouse and Christina Augleria in these songs. From Paris (OOh la la) you hear this very breath taking voice, very saucy and charismatic and the guitars are very excellent throughout the whole album. The way some of the songs end with just guitar picks softly going into the sunset.

But then you get to Oasis and you feel like ripping your skin off your body. For the 4:14 time on this song seemed like a lifetime I would of rather gotten lap dances from Joan Rivers or Phyllis Diller. But the song is true, it does make you feel like your in the dessert.

When you get to Good Bye Kisses the music starts to become better and don't get me wrong, there is some good powerful messages in the lyrics and music is truly different. Tiny Light she starts getting deeper in her voice stretching those vocal chords and getting into a groove and the music accelerates to a different level and it becomes more rockish.

Low Road, That Phone, Hot Summer Night, Things I Never Needed I consider to be the best songs of this cd because you feel the soulfulness of her vocals and each carry a different identity. There is more of that gutsy swagger in that deep voice far apart from the mellow flat swing vocals of the other songs.

The one thing that never loses out on this cd is the balance of the music in every song, there's nothing wild about the guitars or the drums. Everything is in perfect sync You never know what to expect from Grace Potter's voice from strong sexy Diva in That Phone or the childish babydoll vocals in Things I Never Needed.

      1. Paris (ooh la la) 4 stars
      2. Oasis
      3.Medicine
      4.Goodbye Kisses
      5.Tiny Light 5 stars
      6. Colors
      7.Only Love
      8. Money
      9. One Short Night
      10.Low Road 5 stars
      11. That Phone 5 stars
      12. Hot Summer Night 4 stars
      13. Things I Never Needed 4 stars

Overall the quality and their vision on how they wanted to have this cd sound was there. This cd has a few nice interesting songs on it but with all good intentions is something I would want to hear much..I'm not taking anything away from the artists it just didn't flow with my mojo.

      Thanks for reading !!!
