'Mercenary' IS a throwaway, I assume just a f***-around song Wayne and Mick did for fun: hey, Hussey! Cool it with the pejoratives... Battleroar - Battleroar
Authentically recreates the classic metal spirit. Stuck in the past.

Where The Shadows Lie - Battlelore
Atmospheric metal for Tolkien fans. No one else will find much here.

Third Age Of The Sun - Battlelore
Folk elements hint towards an interesting new direction. Still too rooted in gothic- and nu-metal to really impress.

Swords Song - Battlelore
Improved orchestration. All the old problems remain.

Say It Like You Mean It - Starting Line
Much of this album is excellent, superbly catchy Pop Punk expertly executed. In 'Leaving' the band try too many things at once and it just doesn't work.

Greatest Hitz - Limp Bizkit
There are a lot of fine moments here. Not all of the album is particularly impressive.

Evernight - Battlelore
If you like Evanescence, this should be enough to satisfy your low expectations. An even greater disappointment than their other albums.

Decadence - Head Automatica
Bouncy and truly exciting powerpop music, tremendous fun to listen to. A couple of the tracks here are a little disappointing.

A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria - Bal Sagoth
Original, Distinct, Shows signs of what was to come, the most sinister Bal-Sagoth album Not as accomplished as later Bal-Sagoth albums

I Am The Movie - Motion City Soundtrack
Upbeat synths meet pop-punk Sometimes the group's enthusiasm runs away with them and the music outdoes the vocal offering
