Greased - Less Than Jake

Hearing Less Than Jake rock out all the classics from the hit musical 'Grease' is amusing to say the least. Why on earth they chose to cover these eight tracks and turn it into an EP consisting only of covers from 'Grease' I'll never quite know, but I shan't complain anyway as it's thoroughly entertaining to hear the band taking on tracks such as 'Summers Nights' and 'Greased Lightnin', tracks that should never really have been given a Punk injection but were nonetheless. There are some bands who should be locked up for their own safety. Not because they’re that bad, but because they are having far too much fun doing what they do, and it’s just not fair. I mean, if you’re better looking than me (this covers a lot of people, but there you go), better musicians than me (this covers pretty much everyone), better singers than me (er, so does this), more talented songwriters than I am (same theory), earn more money than me (ditto) and attract more women than I do (do I need to say it?), then I want you to be unhappy. Less Than Jake are deffinetly a favourite band of mine: an amazingly talented ska-punk band with loads of really cool songs on various albums ranging through the years they have been a band. The latest release, 2003's Anthem is sooo good! I would reccomend you buy this if you liked any of the others as it is the best yet maybe and includes the singles She's gonna break soon, and though this is a brilliant song, is bettered many times by others like plastic cup politics and best wishes to your black lung and many more. I’m relatively new to Less Than Jake; I’ve heard some of their stuff before but didn’t pay much interest. I wasn’t until after purchasing my Green Day ticket, knowing Less Than Jake are the support act that I really decided to give them my undivided attention.
