Queen Greatest Hits is a very good album to listen to, it has all the songs that you will like, and plus the ones that everyone knows, I will be giving information to all the tracks and all about the CD and other things also, so I hope that this review will be useful to you and maybe even interest you in buying this album.

Tracks

1) Bohemian Rhapsody ------ Duration 5.58 minutes

This track is one of my favourites, it goes on for 5.58 minutes, and it was first played in the year of 1975, when they first recorded this song. This song was written by Freddie Mercury (Queen’s lead singer). Queen released this song in October 1975 from their first number one album, which has been there best. This song was in the top 10 for like 20 years, which is very good.

I really like this song, it has classic rock, with other tones, and good lyrics which allows the song to flow, and it all makes sense, accept for some parts which is just freaky. It’s like it is telling a story, but in a song form which I think was kind of good.

2) Another One Bites The Dust -------- Duration 3.36 minutes

This song was written by John Deacon, and produced by Queen and Mack. This song was first recorded in 1980. It was released in August of the year 1980. This is Queen’s first dance song that they have done. This song in the UK reached number 7 in the charts, which is pretty impressive.

This is not a song that I don’t really like that much, its not my favourite song, but it has its part, so everyone to their own tastes.

3) Killer Queen --------- Duration 3.02 minutes

Written by Freddie Mercury, Queen released this song out in the UK at October 1974. It became in the end Queen’s major breakthrough in the single’s charts throughout the whole world. This song reached number 2 in the charts. This song certainly did much better than Another One Bites the Dust.

This song has a nice ring to it, it is worth listening to, it is one of my favourite songs that is on this album. The lyrics are good, it makes all sense. I think this song was very good, and it was lovely music to my ears, which I liked very, very much.

4) Fat Bottomed Girls -------- Duration 3.24 minutes

This song was written by Brian May (another member from the Queen band), and produced by Queen and Roy Thomas Baker. Queen released this song to the UK at October 1978. The song did not get into any charts, or if it did, it was not there for long.

This song is not really that entertaining, but everyone to their own tastes, the lyrics go with the name of the song, it makes sense, and it is not very easy to memorise the lyrics, so don’t even try.

5) Bicycle Race -------- Duration 3.03 minutes

The song was written by Freddie Mercury, and produced by Queen and Roy Thomas Baker. This song was released into the UK at October 1978, the same time as Fat Bottomed Girls was released, as they were released as a whole double CD. Freddie Mercury had the idea for this song when he was in France, and so he wrote it up. The song has a famous part, where all the bike bells go off, when they did a concert, all the people that came, brought a bicycle bell, to ping when they were there.

This song is quite addictive, I listened to it for ages, it is very easy to memorise the lyrics, as it is mainly ‘You say black’ ‘I say white’ that type of thing, and obviously the chorus as well.

6) You’re My Best Friend -------- Duration 2.52 minutes

The song was written by John Deacon, produced by Roy Thomas Baker. This song was released into the UK at June 1976, from ‘a night at the opera’. This song became a worldwide hit, and roughly everyone knows about it. It reached number 7 in the UK charts, very impressive I recon.

This song is a not bad one, it obviously did well, but I did not think it was that special. The song has many different lyrics, but it always makes sense, its not like its all in gibberish.

7) Don’t Stop Me Now -------- Duration 3.31 minutes

This song was written by Freddie Mercury, and produced by Queen and Roy Thomas Baker. It was released in the UK at January 1979. The song was a top ten hit, in the most European markets, number 9 in the UK, pretty impressive, seams like Queen are always in the chart.

I love this song, it is so addictive, it has all the music a person could ask for, you will entertained by the lyrics and the goodness of the rock and hardcore singing.

8) Save Me -------- Duration 3.48 minutes

The song was written by Brian May, produced by Queen and Mack. It was released in the UK at January 1980, one of Queen’s recent songs. It was number 11 in the UK, not one of Queen’s best.

The song is good, it has a nice ring to it, it is like someone needs saving, kind of get the gist when it is called Save Me.

9) Crazy Little Thing Called Love -------- Duration 2.53

Written by Freddie Mercury, produced by Queen and Mack. It was released in the UK at October 1979. It reached number 2 in the UK, and it was a huge hit in many other countries as well. Freddie thought of this idea when he was in a bubble bath.

Not bad song, it could use improving, it is a love song, as it is called, and I’m not a big fan of love songs really.

10) Somebody To Love -------- Duration 4.57 minutes

Written by Freddie Mercury, produced by Queen. It was released into the UK at November 1976. This song peaked at number 2 in the British charts. This song was a major worldwide hit again reaching number 1 in the UK. The new version made a grand spanking £1,000,000 and over.

I did not like this song, but everyone else seamed to, so I don’t know what to say…

11) Now I’m Here -------- Duration 4.15 minutes

Written by Brian May, and produced by Roy Thomas Baker and Queen. It was released in the UK at January 1975, it is an oldie song. It reached number 11 in the UK chart, which is nearly in the top ten, just needed a bit more.

Never heard of this song, until I got the album lol!

12) Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy -------- Duration 2.55 minutes

Written by Freddie Mercury, produced by Queen and Mack. It was released in the UK at May 1980. It reached number 17 in the UK charts, not too impressive, but still good.

The song is a gentle song, that is not really to rock, rock. It sounds really weird, which is quite freaky.

13) Play The Game -------- Duration 3.33 minutes

This song was written by Freddie Mercury, and it was produced by Queen and Mack. It was released in the UK at May 1980 from ‘The Game’. It got number 14 in the charts which is not bad really.

The song is quite boring, did not keep my attention much, but it is everyone to their own tastes of music.

14) Flash -------- Duration 2.48 minutes

The song was written by Brian May, and produced by Brian May and Mack. It was released in the UK at November 1980. It was made originally for the film Flash Gordon, which is a hit film, and also a hit song. Queen’s first song done for a film soundtrack, and it has done pretty well.

This song is great, I love it, it keeps me entertained, with all the amusing comments from the film, it is quite good actually.

15) Seven Seas Of Rhye -------- Duration 2.50 minutes

The song was written by Freddie Mercury, and produced by Roy Thomas Baker and Queen. It was released into the UK at February 1974. The single gave Queen their first British Chart entry, climbing up to become number 10 in the British Chart.

The song is not bad itself, it was around about their first, or one of them. It is not very addictive like Flash.

16) We Will Rock You -------- Duration 2.02 minutes

This song was written by Brian May, and produced by Queen and assisted by Mike Stone. It was released in the UK at October 1977. It reached number 2 in the UK charts, and it made number 1 in the USA charts. It was a worldwide hit, one of the best songs that they have done.

This song is great, everyone has heard of this song, if not then you have not lived. It is such a good song, and very addictive.

17) We Are The Champions -------- Duration 3.01 minutes

This song was written by Freddie Mercury, and it was produced by Queen and assisted by Mike Stone, yet again. This song was released into the UK at 1977 with We Will Rock You. It reached number 1 in the USA charts, and number 2 in the UK charts.

The song is really good, it is addictive, easy to remember the lyrics, and I loved it, you might of heard this song in many movies, if not, then you also have not lived.

The packaging, well It comes in a basic case, with a picture of the 4 people from queen, or you can get it with the premium collection which has the other 2 greatest hits as well. The music is original, as Queen made them all themselves, they are not digitised either. The lyrics are great, it keeps you entertained, and also it keeps you awake too. All the tracks are good, it keeps everyone entertained, it has what everyone wants, even though there might not be some songs that I don’t like, but they still good for other people. This CD is great value is costs around £5 - £10 and it is worth it, believe me. I give this CD a 4 star, because it is just pure class. I recommend anyone to get this CD as it is just pure superb.

We've got every Queen everything ever produced as my husband followed them everywhere. Not literally though, he wasn't a stalker or anything! My favourite is 'It's Late' although I can't tell you what album that's from - he could though! I love this compilataion as there's no really heavy rock tracks like on some of their albums.
