~~~~Reasons For Buying The Greatest Hits II By Queen~~~~
I was first introduced to Queen in the late 1970's by my Father who absolutely worshipped this amazing rock band. My parents had spilt up when I was young and my Father would come and pick me up early every Saturday morning, to take me to stay at his house for the night. Well I used to mess about in his glove compartment in his Van as a child (as you do lol) and one day, I opened it up and his collection of Queen tapes fell out onto the floor. I was never really interested in them before, but for some reason I asked him to put a tape on so I could listen to some music on the journey down to his house and I really was pleased he did as I loved what I was hearing blasting from the speakers in his old Cortina's doors. It was the most amazing music I had ever heard before.
Well I guess I was at the age nearly in the late seventies, of really enjoying pop and rock music and soon I was listening to this excellent groups, amazing songs everywhere I went. They where on the radio, on television and in every newspaper I saw. I will not go on too much about this though as most of you will know the story yourselves, but I will say. I loved this world class rock band from an early age and always will.
I have every single tape CD and Video I guess, of this great rock band, that they have every released. My collection started of with tapes and vinyl and of course, but I eventually updated all my collections to CD when they where invented also. I have all of Queens albums in my collection of CDs and this CD, Greatest Hits II has got to be one of my favourites, as unfortunately it was the last album released by Queen before Freddy Mercury's Death in November 1991 and to Queen fans it means a lot I guess. Well it certainly does to me.
~~~~~~~~A Little About This Greatest Hits Album II~~~~~~~~~
I really do not remember exactly when I bought the Greatest Hits II by Queen on this CD, but it was a really long time ago. I had it on tape first and bought this soon after it was released in 1991. This album was released on the 28th October 1991, just a month before the death of the groups lead singer and flamboyant born entertainer, Freddy Mercury. It was number one in the UK Album chart just a week after its release also. Apparently it has sold over 16 million copies worldwide to date according to stats.

This compilation album by one of my much loved Rock bands 'Queen', has seventeen amazing songs included on it which gives well over an hours excellent entertainment for myself and my Husband also, who loves Queen (Thank Goodness) when we both want to listen to this group and these outstanding tracks. Most of the tracks on this album where Queens most successful UK hits, as it states this on the inlay and it is also something I personally know myself. These where the best of Queens songs in my Opinion and came from the bands most important decade and most successful of their career, the eighties, when I was growing up.

The Greatest Hits II by Queen features the greatest selection of rock music that really is very catchy and extremely enjoyable in my opinion and for all those who have not heard of Queen before. Each of the seventeen tracks are full of excellent Guitar, drum and Vocal sounds, that are truly outstanding and so perfectly performed. I was amazed at first hearing this group so many years ago for the first time and I really can say, it is not hard not to dislike them either, as their songs are really full of excellent lyrics also that are note perfectly sang by the great Freddy Mercury himself.

Well all I can say to encourage those who have not heard of Queen before "You don't know what your missing" This is great Rock Music, it really is. World class in fact by a really famous group. Just go on You tube and type in a song or the word Queen. You will be amazed like I was on first hearing them as a child. If you like Rock Music, just give them a listen to. I promise you the greatest and most superbly performed rock sounds indeed.

Queens Greatest hits two really is a must for all Queen fans out there also. Queen have released many albums over the years with the songs included on this album on them, but this really is a very handy CD to pull out and listen to as this compilation contains seventeen of their very best and most popular songs on one handy, reachable disc. I really have played this CD out though. It's very tatty looking now and actually needs replacing, as it unfortunately has a scratch on it, but I certainly will be replacing it very soon, as I bought another copy of it from Amazon for just under £4 and it's on its way to me as I write this. A real bargain!

This Greatest Hits II has given me many hours of really enjoyable entertainment over the years and it certainly goes down well with all of my friends when they call around for a drink or five as Queen really are very popular to listen to and liked by most people I find. My daughters even love listening to this excellent CD as it really is a great selection of catchy tracks they love dancing around to and singing to (unfortunately) I also love listening to this CD while I am driving my car. It is one of the best driving along to CDs in my opinion also that make you feel really great inside. Well if you drive you will know what I am talking about. Fast and furious! This Greatest Hits II by Queen is excellent and one for the collection.

~~The Rock Band Queen Where:~~
*Freddy Mercury the Vocalist
*Brian May who played Guitar
*Roger Taylor who played the drums
*John Deacon who was the bassist

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A Little About Queen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Queen where formed in 1970. They are an English Rock Group that was made up of four great members. They where Brian May who played the Guitar, Freddy Mercury who was the groups lead vocalist. There was Roger Taylor on the drums and finally they where joined by John Deacon who was the bands Bassist. They all where quite multi-talented though and could all sing and add harmony extremely well to songs and also could play other different instruments, that where sometimes needed for their excellent songs. Freddy was the Vocalist, but he could also play the guitar also. The synthesiser was also introduced in the eighties and they learnt to play that also. They have released over twenty albums in their career and eighteen of those went to number one in the UK charts. The band sadly ended really in 1991 when the lead singer 'Freddy Mercury' died' after contacting Aids at a very young age of 45 years old. A tragic ending to one of the most famous Rock Bands in the world.
~~~~~~~The Front Cover To Queens Greatest Hits II~~~~~~~
The front cover is important to collectors of CDs. That is why they need to be included also in reviews for those who ask "What's the Point?" Well as a collector of many albums there is a few reasons. First is to sell them to customers (catch their eye etc) and also for fans of the artists that has released them are thrilled to see their favourite stars, emblems, new photographs etc, printed on there covers. Of course they must look good for the buyers lol. Well anyway. This Greatest Hits II front cover, by Queen is nice. Yes nice! It really is nothing that catches the eye or stands out, but it looks well in my opinion. The background to the front cover is navy blue in colour. Across the top the words of the group 'Queen' are nicely printed in gold lettering and at the bottom are the words and title of this album Greatest Hits II printed slightly smaller than the bands title in matching gold print. Well the most important part to this albums cover is the beautifully printed emblem that Queen used, time again and it's printed in a matching gold also. This Emblem was designed by "Freddy Mercury" himself by the way, as he attended art college whenever he left School and was great at art and design. The Queen emblem contains too much detail to describe or bore you with, but you can see it in the photographs around this review. Overall a good front album cover in my opinion.

~~~~~Back Cover To The Queens Greatest Hits II Album~~~~~
The back cover to the Greatest Hits II by Queen is also all printed with gold lettering that looks really well on the continuous navy background. All seventeen tracks that are featured on this compilation album are printed in good sized lettering that are very easy to see and to read what they all are. Of course the publishers of this CDs name of EMI Music LTD are written at the bottom in very small print, that you have to hold close to read, but that is unimportant I guess. Well a good clear back cover to this CD that is very easy to read, find the track listings and is well designed.
~~~~~~~~Inlay To The Queens Greatest Hits II Album~~~~~~~~
I really love the inlay with this Greatest Hits II album. It is a great little 23 page booklet with endless information on it about each and every track on this album. There is page after page of great photographs also of Queen performing their songs. On page three there is a great photograph of the group together in 1989 in their true eighties fashion and with quiet big haircuts. All the tracks included on this compilation album are again printed on page two. The years the tracks where released also are written in this booklet and which album by Queen they where taken from. An excellent little inlay booklet that really is worth having and a pleasure to have received with this CD.

~~~Now For The All Important Tracks And A little Bit About Them~~~
Below I have included a little bit of information about each of the seventeen tracks on this Greatest Hits II album by Queen and when they where made, who they where written by and most importantly, what they sound like and mean to me. Enjoy the run down or pass it by, but honestly they are all excellent tracks indeed so here is my thoughts on them.
~~~A kind of magic~~~
This excellent song and one of Queens most popular songs ever A Kind Of Magic was written by Queens band member Roger Taylor. This song was taken from Queens album of the same name by the way "A Kind Of Magic" It was released into the Charts in the UK on the 17th of March 1986 and reached number three in the UK and number one in 35 other countries. Yes! That's how great this song is. This famous song was also used in the very popular movie "Highlander" as it's score also.

Now for the non boring bit (The sound) This song is out standing. Truly amazing in my opinion. I absolutely love this track. It brings me way back to my youth and bopping (or jumping more like) about to this song in my local disco. I loved this song on first ever hearing it and always will. It really is excellent. This song starts of with a great drum beat introduction by Roger Taylor. It quickly is joined by some great synthesiser sounds and then a blast from Brian Mays electric Guitar. It then is joined by the echoey voice of the great Freddy Mercury, which somewhat dies down to him singing this great song, note perfectly and with pure feeling and meaning. Wow! I love it. It has a great solo guitar piece in the middle of this song by Brian May that is awesome. You really have to listen to this song. It is amazing.

This song was inspired into writing by Roger Taylor, as these words 'A Kind Of Magic' where used in the Movie 'Highlander' and of course the words one prize, one goal, no mortal man, "there can be only one".are actually about the great man in the Movie Highlander itself "Connor MacLeod" The lyrics are all to do with the storyline in the Movie Highlander that Queen where asked to write. Well a truly excellent softer (at times) rock song with excellent vocals, outstanding electro guitar pieces and perfect feet tapping drum beats, that to me is in the top ten rock songs ever produced. Truly fantastic and highly enjoyable. I love it.

~~~Under Pressure~~~
Well what another excellent track on this compilation album indeed. This song is actually performed by Queen and David Bowie. It's also outstanding. This was taken from Queens album "Hot Space" It was the first time the band had ever performed with any other Music artist and the two voices of Davis Bowie and Freddy Mercury blend so perfectly together. It's awesome to hear this song. This was Queens second number one single also and was released into the UK charts on October the 26th 1981. This songs bass is also used on Vanilla Ices song "Ice Ice baby" with Queens permission of course.
Now for the sound. Well the sound and feel of this song is amazing. The bass throughout this song has to be heard. It really does. It is pure depth and perfectly produced by John Deacon and "The Best" in music's history in my opinion. It truly is. This song starts of with the most famous bass ever heard on a Guitar in history of course. Wow! Amazing. I love it so much. It quickly gets joined by the electric strums of Brian Mays Guitar and great drum beats by Roger Taylor. It is so perfectly created indeed. So unusual and incredible to listen to. Freddy Mercury and David Bowie both quickly join the background music to sing so beautifully together the song "Under Pressure" of course David Bowie plays a little of the synthesiser during this excellent song also. There is many great solos of John Deacons famous bass guitar pieces, in this song also. The bass not only makes this song though, but the great vocals do also.
I am not to sure what this song is all about myself or what the actual lyrics are telling us, but I love them. To me they tell a story of about everyone being under pressure in life, with today's ways of life being more and more stressful, peoples personal problems and how they end up because of it all. Well it is an amazing and well put together rock song that is on my list of best ever rock songs of all time. You really must buy this album to hear this song.
~~~Radio GA GA~~~
I also really love this song Radio Ga Ga. It was written by Queens Roger Taylor and was taken for this compilation from "The Works" album. It was released into the UK charts on the 23rd of January 1984 and reached number two in the UK and number one in nineteen different countries.

The Lyrics to this song are all about switching over from Radio listening of music, to watching it on television and also how popular television was becoming. It has a line in it referring to the Movie "War of the worlds" saying "through wars of worlds, invaded by Mars" which is a good line.

The song starts of with strange sounds preformed on a synthesiser that sounds like radio transmissions. The synthesiser then goes into a nice catchy rhythm that soon gets joined by Brian Mays guitar and it sounds excellent. Freddy Mercury soon starts singing the vocals to this great catchy tune and it starts of very softly, until the great chorus and then he blasts them out and the music gets raised a few notches in volume. I love it. It's an excellent song indeed. It's really a great Rock song I love listening to. There is plenty of great guitar solo pieces throughout this song also. Another great included track on this album in my opinion. "Everything I need to know" "I heard it on my Radio" Just thought I would add that line from this song, as it is really a good line of speech to me.

~~~I Want It All~~~
This famous and excellent sounding Rock track was written by Queens Brian May. It was released into the UK charts on the 2nd of May 1989. It reached number three in the charts in the UK and was number one in a few other countries.
This really is a great loud sounding Rock track with great solo guitar sounds, fabulously sang lyrics, great drum rhythm and electro Rock beats that will have you tapping your toes as soon as you hear it. It really is a very heavy rock song indeed that's fast and exciting to listen to. You just want to strum your pretend guitar and swing your head to this one. It is excellent.
The songs title is clearly about "wanting everything in life" and wanting it all 'right now'. I actually love singing this song to my husband quite a lot, when he is really bugging me about things that I cannot have. It's our little joke I guess. Well overall an excellent sounding, heavier rock song that I really love and recommend listening to if you like rock music. It really is great and will have you singing the lyrics to this in no time, as they really are so catchy indeed.
~~~I Want To Break Free~~~
I really would be surprised if no one had ever heard of this great rock song before performed and written by Queen. It really is one of the bands most popular tracks. This song was written mostly by John Deacon and was released into the UK chart on April the 2nd 1984. The track is taken from Queens "The Works" album also. This song reached number three in the UK charts and stayed there for fifteen weeks. It was banned in America because the group dressed up in drag in the video!

Well this really is an excellent song that I love. As soon as I first heard this song in the UK charts all those years ago, I went straight out and bought the single. Of course because it was banned in some parts of the world, actually quiet excited me, that I could buy it freely as a teenager in my country.

The start of this great rock song is excellent. It starts of with a synthesiser introduction for around 10 seconds in a very high electro beat sound. Then it gets accompanied by the electro and bass guitars and next a great catchy drum rhythm that's quite loud. It has excellent solo, electro guitar pieces in this also and great bass ones by John Deacon. It really is an excellent tune that I really love. Well of course, while that's all going on in the background, Freddy Mercury sings throughout this great song excellent lyrics of "wanting to break free" The lyrics actually tell a story of leaving a great love of your life, but making sure you are doing the right thing also. It continues on to breaking free and not wanting to be alone actually in life and not being used to it. Well this really is an out standing track in every single way. The lyrics are great and the background sounds are amazing. You must listen to it if you never have heard this before. One of the best songs by Queen on this compilation album.

~~~Innuendo.~~~
Well this is another excellent included track on this Greatest Hits compilation album. It was written by Queen and released into the UK charts on the 14th January 1991. This track lasts for over six minutes also. It went straight to number one in the UK charts and was a huge hit right across Europe at the same time.
This really is a more eerier sounding introduction to a great rock song indeed. Well it starts of with a huge fanfare of orchestra sounding music that really is amazing and well produced. It is all quite loud for a minute at the start and then the huge roar of music stops. Freddy Mercury sings the words 'Innuendo' for a few seconds and then a type of Spanish dance style music rips out and great bass guitar sounds join it. Then it gets accompanied by loud marching drum beats and the electro guitar. It really is quite instrumental at the start, but boy it is amazing indeed. I love this track so much. Freddy continues on telling a story in his great singing voice about how we should live our lives by the rules and what we are taught regarding to our religion and laws. It really is a different put together piece of music in my opinion, but I personally love this track so much. It really must be listened to, so buy this album to see what I mean.
~~~It's A Hard Life~~~
This excellent track was written by Freddy Mercury himself. This track was taken from "The Works" album for this compilation of Greatest Hits. It was released into the UK charts on the 16th of July 1984. It's highest position in the UK chart, was number six.

Well this song was influenced by Freddy Mercury's love of Opera, like so many of his songs actually. It is a great song with lots of vocal harmonies from all the members of the band in it and has a great piano solo also included by Freddy Mercury. It really is a lovely track to listen to in my opinion. It starts of with a blast of loud song, in opera style by Freddy who's joined by the other members of Queen in this. It is also joined by great bass and electro guitar sounds. It also has excellent drum sounds through this song also. A great put together song that's true rock and a personal favourite of mine.

The lyrics to this track on this Greatest Hits II album by Queen tells a sad sort of story really about living with a broken heart. Freddy sings about being in a tricky situation in life and also of ending a relationship. I really think the lyrics are beautiful indeed. I really think it is romantic. An excellent love, rock song, with beautiful music throughout it indeed. One of the greatest Queen songs ever in my opinion and I am glad it is on this album. I really am.

~~~Breakthru.~~~
Breakthru is another great track on this "Greatest Hits II" album. It is not my top Queen song, but it still is really great listening to this one. This song is from Queens Miracle" album. It was also released into the UK charts on the 19th of June 1989 and peaked at number seven. It was also very popular right across Europe.
This song starts of with a really nice vocal harmony from the whole band. It really is a softer introduction to this track with very nice piano sounds that jump to a great fast rock sounding guitar sound, that races to your pulse. It really is a very fast moving track indeed. It is very unusual and a great song to dance along to that is quite eighties sounding in my opinion also. Well not my personal favourite song from Queen, but it's still great.
The Lyrics to this song tell a repeated sort of story about waking up each day and seeing the love of your life's face smiling back at you and also that they turn you wild inside with emotions. Well it's a good song on this compilation album, but not one of the better ones.
~~~Who Wants To Live Forever~~~
This song was written by Queens Brian May. It was taken from Queens "A kind Of Magic Album" It was also released on the 15th of September 1986 into the UK charts where it only reached number 24, but it still was a really popular song by the band. This song also features The National Philharmonic Orchestra and featured in the Movie Highlander also.

This really is a a beautifully sang track by Freddy Mercury, who's accompanied in harmony at times, by the rest of Queen. It has beautiful full Orchestral sounds throughout this song. It starts of as a very gentle soft tune. Half way through it there is excellent bass and electro guitar sounds played together for a minute and then Freddy blasts out the chorus to this beautiful softer type of rock song. Wow! I love this track a lot also. It really is a fantastic ballad to listen to and it's very relaxing to the soul also.

The lyrics to this track on the album tells a great little story and Freddy asks 'Who wants to live forever" This all returns to why it was wrote. The lyrics are telling a part of the story in the movie Highlander of the star of the movies wife dying in front of him and of course of him being immortal and deeply saddened. Brian May actually sings the introduction to this lovely track but Freddy sings most of the song. Well it sure is a lovely included track on this album that I really love by Queen.

~~~Headlong~~~
This song is from Queens "Innuendo" and was released into the UK charts in May of 1991 where it peaked at number 14. It was very popular also right across Europe and reached number three in the US charts. It was also written by Brian May.
Well this starts off with a fast bass guitar sound that quickly gets joined by Freddy Mercury singing. It really is very fast paced indeed and quite a heavy rock song indeed. It has great guitar sounds the whole way through this track and loud drum beats also. It is also a very catchy and body tapping track that has you moving around a lot. A very catchy track on this great compilation in my opinion.
The lyrics to Headlong tell a story of rushing into things very quickly leading to things getting out of control. To me it tells a story of rushing into a relationship and finding it does not work out either but having to stay there when you do not really want to. This of course leads to an attraction to another woman. Well this is a good catchy track. Not my top Queen track, but it's a great rock song indeed by the band.
~~~The Miracle.~~~
This song comes from Queens album of the very same name. It was released into the UK charts on the 27th of November 1989, but only reached number 21 in the charts. It was also quite popular in Europe also.

This song has a very catchy introduction with great piano, guitar and loud drum sounds to it. Freddy sings this really nicely and he gets a nice loud accompanied harmony at times from the rest of the group. It also has great solo guitar pieces in this. I love the bass sounds throughout this track also. They are quite unique sounding in my opinion. Well this is a great song that is very nicely sang by Freddy that and it is very quick to catch on to the lyrics.

The Lyrics to The Miracle tell a story of everything we take for granted in this world. From just being born, to living in peace with the whole wide world. It is a very unusual rock song in my opinion, but I really love the catchy lyrics and great rock tune to this track.

~~~I'm Going Slightly Mad.~~~
This great Queen track is taken for this greatest hits album from the "Innuendo" album. This song was released into the UK charts on the 4th March 1991 and I can actually remember when it did. I was at work and had the Radio on when I first heard it and of course I thought it was great. It reached the top twenty in Europe and number 22 in the UK charts. This song was written by Freddy Mercury. This song was one of the last Freddy ever wrote and is said to have been written about his battle with Aids in last few years of his life.
This song is another eerie sounding rock track by Queen but it has a really nice tune to it that I actually personally love. It starts of with great synthesiser sounds, bass and electro guitar and softer drum beats. It really blends in well together in my opinion. It has a very steady continuous beat the whole way though. Freddy sings the whole song in quite a put on posh accent and gets joined in loud harmony in parts of this song by the rest of the band. It has a great Guitar solo near the end of it also. It is quite a haunting sort of tune and I really would check it out, just to see what I am talking about.
The lyrics to "I'm going Slightly" mad tell the story, apparently by friends of Freddy Mercury, that he is finally going mad with dementia that sets in when you have aids. Well Freddy died of pneumonia, but I sure think he is singing about his illness in this song. The songs lyrics tell different sayings of losing your mind, from being one card short of a deck, to seeing things that are not really there. It really is touching lyrics to me, to think that this great man suffered like this in his short life. Well a great song I really like and am glad it's on this CD.
~~~The Invisible Man.~~~
This song was written by John Taylor from Queen. It was also taken from "The Miracle" album. It was released into the UK chart on the 7th of August 1989. It reached number twelve in the UK and into the top twenty right across Europe.

Well this is another excellent rock song by Queen that I really love. It starts of with strange sounds going on at the start and then goes into a deep bass guitar sound with Freddy singing The invisible man. Brian May also sings little parts throughout this song. It really has another great bass sound that is very catchy indeed. The continuous beat stops halfway through this song and Freddy stops singing and we hear a great guitar solo for a few seconds. It really is a great toe tapping, stomping rock song, that I love listening to. It's fast, exciting and enjoyable.

The lyrics to this track includes all the band members names at times in it and it's good to hear it actually, that they seem to be calling each other in this song. Well the lyrics are exactly like the title. It tells a story over and over of being an invisible man and seeing right through someone. It is actually a quite witty song that makes you smile also. Well it's a great Queen song in my opinion and I am glad it is included on this album.

~~~Hammer To Fall~~~
Well I am sure a lot of people reading this will know this very famous and popular Queen song. This track is taken from "The Works Album" and was released into the UK charts on the 10th of September 1984. I can remember going straight out and buying this single all those years ago after hearing it aired on the Radio. It reached number 13th in the UK charts and was popular right across Europe. This song is also used in the Movie Highlander.
This really is an excellent track by Queen. Personally it would be in my top five list of Queen songs. It is an excellent rock song in every way. This song starts of with deep bass of course. Wow. I love it. Gets you moving very quickly. It quickly gets joined by great loud drum beats, a little bit of synthesiser electro sounds and of course Freddy Mercury blasting out the lyrics to this song. I love it. A true rock song indeed. It has excellent guitar solos and gentler parts to it, which quickly get drum rolled into loud rock sounds indeed. A really catchy tune that will have you moving to it very quickly when ever you hear it, every single time.
The lyrics to "Hammer To Fall" tell a sad story of dying really of waiting for the hammer to fall on your time up, in this world. Freddy Mercury had aids and this song certainly is telling us that he was just waiting to die. It is an excellent fast moving rock song with sad lyrics, but some how it becomes a brilliant rock song, that I suppose takes a little of the sadness away from it. Well overall an amazing song by Queen that I highly recommend listening to on this album.
~~~Friends Will Be Friends~~~
This song was co written by both Freddy Mercury and John Deacon. It is taken from the "Kind of magic album" It was released on the 9th June 1986 and reached number 14 in the UK charts and was popular in Europe also. Queen used this song quite a lot as a type of anthem at their live performances.

This song is out standing. It really is one of the best rock songs ever in my opinion. It starts of with a solo guitar being perfectly played. I really love this electro sound indeed. I think it makes this track. I could listen to this guitar only sound all day. The introduction quickly gets joined by Freddy Mercury singing in his unique and beautiful voice. There's plenty of great rock guitar, bass, drums and harmony throughout this whole song. Truly amazing. I love it so much. It has so much meaning and really is a feel good track to listen to when you are feeling low. Just take a listen yourself and see what I am talking about. I love it!

The lyrics, I think, really help make this track also. They are very catchy and meaningful lyrics that always create a sing along in every room or entertainment centre that I visit. They tell a lovely story of no matter what happens basically to you in life, that you will always have friends, right to the end, supporting you. An excellent rock song by Queen in every department. A great track on this Greatest Hits II album indeed!

~~~The Show Must Go On~~~
This track was taken from Queens "Innuendo" album. It was written by all of Queen. It was released into the UK charts on the 14 February 1991. It reached number two in the US charts and number 16 in the UK. It was popular though throughout most of the world. It was used in the movie Moulin Rouge also.
This song is amazing. It starts of with great synthesiser sounds played gently in a continuous sort of beat. Freddy then sings gently at the start and gets accompanied by great guitar pieces, drum beats and vocal harmonies. It is amazing. I love this Queen song to death. Well it quickens up to Freddy blasting out the chorus in one of the best performances he has ever given. He sings this from his soul. It is outstanding. Truly Incredible. There is an excellent bass guitar and electro guitar pieces that are played solely for about thirty seconds in this amazing rock track also. The harmony by the group is outstanding also. Truly an excellent track that I love listening to by Queen.
The lyrics to "The Show must go on" tell a really lovely story about continuing on in life with a broken heart and putting on a show or a pretend smile for others. Pretending things are ok when they are not really. I really love this lyrics also to this song. It is outstanding in every single way in my opinion. An excellent track on this album.
~~~One Vision~~~
This is another very popular Queen track indeed. It was written by all of Queen and released into the UK charts on the 4th of November 1985. It reached number seven in the UK charts and into the top twenty across Europe. Queen wrote this song after playing in front of a huge audience at Live Aid. This song has been used in many movies also, including Iron Eagle.

Well this is the final track on this album and it is a great one indeed. This songs starts of with distorted voices that sound a bit Alien like in my opinion. It soon gets joined by an excellent beat of synthesisers, guitars and drums, for about twenty seconds. Then it all goes quiet and an excellent solo guitar is played briefly, then to be joined by loud drum beats. Wow! It is outstanding. It is absolutely amazing listening to this track. Freddy soon blasts out "One Vision" in a loud and unique voice. The rest of the band join Freddy in this track in great harmony at times, that is sort of echoey and in true Queen style. I love it. The end of this song is also amazing. The whole band sing 'give me' give me, give me, in turns, in great voices, that echoes back and forth with the drums beating loudly in the background. The ending of this amazing rock song ends with the words "Fried Chicken" instead of One Vision and this was an added joke by the Late, Great, Freddy Mercury.

~~~~~Overall Opinion Of The Greatest Hits II By Queen.~~~~~
Well if you have got this far in reading you will of gathered by now that I absolutely love listening to this wonderful rock album by Queen. It really is one of the best compilation albums to pull from my collection, because it includes a lot of the most popular and liked Queen tracks without having to look through dozens of CDs to find the songs you are looking for. Well that's my opinion. My top Queen tracks are all on this CD apart from two of them.
This review has ended up very long indeed, but I wanted to include every single track and why they mean so much to me and what they are all about really, as I personally think it is very important to any music album. Well this is certainly one album I enjoy listening to and especially when I am alone, driving my car, as It's just a great fast driving and moving album indeed. Of course I play this in the house also and when friends call around, as it really does go down well with everyone. I guess we all grew up with Queen and for the younger generation also, I strongly recommend giving them a listen to also, as they are really hard to beat in the rock section.
As I said before I have had this album for many years in my collection and it has given me great pleasure, countless hours of entertainment and all for a really cheap price I guess. Every single track on this album is an excellent one with outstanding guitar ballads, great drum rhythms, electro synthesiser sounds and of course excellent vocals by Freddy Mercury and great harmonies by the rest of the band. This group really do perform to a very high standard indeed and are really worth listening to if you like rock music. The lyrics also to all the all the tracks included on this compilation album, are great little stories that I love listening to and have good meanings to them all. They are not continuous words over and over again like a lot of songs are. These songs sing a story of meaning and are sang from the soul.
Well would I recommend this album? I really highly recommend the Greatest Hits Album II by Queen to everyone, especially if you are into rock music. Even if you are not, these are all great tracks indeed that seem to be enjoyed in my eyes, by all age groups that visit my home. This truly is a great compilation album by Queen with most of their best tracks on one handy CD, that I find very useful indeed.
The Album is a must for every collection. It is one of the best albums of all time in my opinion and I really cannot recommend it enough to you. These tracks lift your soul and please your mind. They really are the best Queen ones that you will find apart from two others I personally love, but I guess you cannot have it all really. Well this album gets a huge thumbs up by me. I would give it a full 10/10 but it lacks two of my all time favourite Queen songs, so I have to give it nine I guess. But that's just a personal opinion from me. Seriously. You must listen to Queen to hear what I am talking about. This album is outstanding!
Well there is only one more thing for me to say and that's "Rest in peace Freddy Mercury" You are truly missed. Thank you for this final album you made in your last months with us all. Yes more have been released after you died, but this was your final album and sang from the soul.
The Greatest Hits II by Queen can be bought online from Amazon for under £4 at the moment. I really think this is a bargain for over an hours excellent entertainment.
