Advantages: Some Decent Songs

Disadvantages: Lots of Not-So-Decent Songs

Greatest Hits Vol.3 by Queen is the weakest of the three Greatest Hits albums from Queen but still worth owning if you're a real fan. I suppose the biggest problem they faced in compiling this was dealing with the absence of Freddie Mercury (the lead singer who died of Aids in 1991). This album wasn't released until 1999 so there were only a certain number of Freddie Mercury songs that could be included as many had already been included on previous compilations.

To fill the gaps, a lot of the songs on this album are either solo projects by Freddie or Brian (neither of which I'm big fans of as solo artists) or they're live performances from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert which took place to celebrate Freddie's life work. "Somebody to Love" annoyed me enough before George Michael joined in - now on this album it's just plain painful!

I don't recommend this album to be totally honest. I can see why it would appeal to some but for me it was a waste of a tenner. Sorry Queen.
