queen greatest hits 3 is not quite a true title, as some a lot of these weren't hits also some were freddy mercury solo efforts and not queen. After mercury's death in the 90's they released this a cash in some might say or a representaion of their final work, maybe to tie up loose ends. Queen were one of the biggest bands on the planet ... Greatest Hits Vol.3 by Queen is the weakest of the three Greatest Hits albums from Queen but still worth owning if you're a real fan. I suppose the biggest problem they faced in compiling this was dealing with the absence of Freddie Mercury (the lead singer who died of Aids in 1991). This album wasn't released until 1999 so there were only a ... Read the complete review

"Queen-Greatest Hits 3" was the first CD that I bought of Queen at the ripe old age of 12. I'd heard "Greatest Hits 1" courtesy of my brother and his records, and loved it. Thus started my obsession with this phenomenal band. This CD remains today one of my favourite CD's of all time. I wouldn't say that it is pure ... Read the complete review

I'm writing this opinion with and for my (now 21 year old) son (we originally wrote this when he was 17 and posted it on Ciao). When Queen first appeared, I personally wasn't their biggest fan, but the truth is, they seem to grow on you. So, I had no problem with purchasing this third Greatest Hits album for my son (knowing full well that short of ... Read the complete review

There have been a few grumbles about Queen releasing another greatest hits but it's not just any greatest hits though, it's more of a tribute to Freddie Mercury than anything else. It features a few tracks from the tribute concert which adds a nice touch and their are some reworked songs as well as Freddie and Brians solo work. ... Read the complete review

With the success of the two Greatest hits albums by Queen, it was inevitable that after Freddie Mercury’s death, there would be a third Greatest hits album. Queen have literally hundreds of great tracks that could be combined into several albums, so it is difficult to collate a greatest hits album. Finally the album came out, and ... Simply put, another top quality, well put together compilation, showcasing what Queen do best- making great music. Along with the other 2 Greatest Hits albums, this too has its own feel- some may disagree, but Greatest Hits 1 comes across as a classic album, Greatest Hits 2 showing a more experimental side and this offering brings the trilogy (so ... This is the latest in the Queen saga, and is aimed more at providing the old favourites with a few twists and turns, by folding in a few other artists into the mix, and also a few solo Mercury tracks. The tracks here are generally of a really good quality, the only issue is that you have to be prepared to listen to the un-original ... Read the complete review

I wasn’t impressed by this CD at first. I just listened to a couple of tracks that I already knew, like ‘Heaven for Everyone’ and ‘Too much Love Will Kill you,’ but once I listened to it all the way through in the car when I went on a long journey, I discovered some wonderful songs, and my favourite guitar solo in ... This is not a purely Queen album, as many of the tracks are either sung by or with other artists such as George Michael, Elton John etc. as a tribute to Freddie Mercury. Most of them on the album however are really good, particularly, The Show Must Go On, Under Pressure and Somebody to Love. Another One Bites the Dust however is very disappointing ... Some Queen purists may have reservations about this album because many of the tracks are performed by or with other artists, some as a tribute to Freddy Mercury. I think the whole album is a tribute to them all, with George Michael deserving particular praise for his rendition of Somebody to Love, performed live at Wembley. As a live ...
