Wow, where should I begin? Well the beginning is usually a good place! 15 years ago following the death of Nirvana's singer and front man Kurt Cobain their drummer Dave Grohl went on to form a new band by the name of Foo Fighters. In moving out from behind the drums and becoming singer and guitarist Grohl became the front man of a group which went on to be one of the best rock bands of all time, one which will go down in history and one which has been very influential in my life. For me, the Foo Fighters are the greatest band in recent history and even though they have now released this Greatest Hits album, they are still going from strength to strength. First of all, here a few Foo Facts for you... Foo Fighters were formed in 1995 by ex Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl who became the Guitarist & Singer, & since their formation they have grown to be one of the biggest Rock bands of all time. In their 14 years of existence they have released 6 studio albums, 1 live album & this Greatest Hits album. The band has won 6 Grammy Awards, 2 Brit Awards & an MTV VMA. It's an album that's been 15 years in the making but this week saw the release of the first Greatest Hits collection from the Foo Fighters. Since the split of Nirvana, Dave Grohl has taken on many projects but the Foo Fighters are perhaps the one he will be most remembered for. Rather than being an end for the band thankfully this greatest hits collection is just satisfying part of their record deal and the band will be back recording new material in the future. One look at the track listing shows that they have put some real thought into the run order and with the addition of a couple of new tracks this album is perhaps the best mix of tracks from the bands back ...
