There are some pop misfires, 911 and Kavana are best resigned to the bargain bin with their moppish hairdos and penchant for dubious cover versions. Much better is Go West and Duran Duran, who both bring some sophisticated pop to disc one. 'Ordinary World' showcases LeBon's sexy voice on fine form.
There is a hefty selection of r and b/reggae, as disc two unfolds with Maxi Priest and UB40. A neat little tie in here also sees Pato Banton crop up with Robin and Ali Campbell from UB40 for 'Baby Come B...more |

A lovely green front cover to this CD. The sleeve gets zero points straight away, so let's hope the track offering is slightly better. There are three discs here and a whopping 54 songs, so for just over five quid you are getting pretty good value for money. Louise kicks us off. 'Arms Around The World' is not a strong start to the album. Her voice is too wishy washy and being pretty isn't enough to make me like her music. Much better is the feisty 'Wannabe' by the Spices, good old fashioned girl power with a hook to die for and such good fun. More pop bases are covered with Billie, Geri Halliwell and Eternal.
