Advantages: The very best from one of the vesy best

Disadvantages: Possible chronological order missing.

Red Hot Chili Peppers. One of the greatest Rock Bands to ever grace us with music on this planet. Even the pop-genre loving people love this Band! Seven Grammys and 50m records sold Universally. Why? Well, this album will tell you.

What we have here is a compilation of all the greatest and best Red Hot Chili Peppers have to offer. And although they arent in any sort of chronological order, they still have an individual story behind them and an individual story to tell.

Mixing the old lyrics of what Drugs do to you, and the way Kiedis felt about his life way back when, with the new age lyrics which continue the story, but past the experiences of back when, and into life as it is now.

Particularly, a story is told in two of the songs here about 'Dani,' who is a fictional character, based upon Kiedis' previous relationships with women, all rolled into one.

Aside from that, though, the music can appeal to anyone who has a slight interest in music as a whole. Some is up-beat (By The Way) and some is more sentimental and relaxing (Californication, Scar Tissue). Some is Electric Guitar, some is Acoustic. But all of it is Humanly produced. It might have been mechanically altered in a computer slightly, but these guys play everything to perfection, because thats how they work. Tweaking isnt neccessary, and extra drum and bass isnt required from an external source like some CDs offer.

The personal favourite on this CD would be Otherside. Fantastic song that describes the battles that former Drug users have with their previous problems.

You know, I once temporarily lost this CD/DVD set when moving house, and I almost cried. Not because it was a present from my Girlfriend, but because of the severe greatness of the album as a whole.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are much like Michael Jackson in the Rock world - they are sure to have touched your life in some way, because you cant have helped but heard one of their songs.

A true testament to the Chilis work over the past 26 Years, but there is so much more to hear, if you havent already.

Summary: Play all - Repeat - Play all - Repeat...
