... much appear in chronological order, beginning with Old Before I Die and Lazy Days, presumably decent hits that preceeded the all-time hit Angels. Nonetheless, both songs get a thumbs up, mainly for Williams' playful and sometimes risque lyrics. Of course, Angels is a classic, Williams' moment of glory so nothing more needs to be said, other than I wish countless poor renditions of it would stop being churned out on shows such as the X Factor! Now the next two songs are almost of equal Robbie fame but I'm afraid that Let ...more

Following a string of hit singles, successful albums and all-round fame, former Take That star Robbie Williams felt the time was right in 2004 to release a greatest hits album. And who could begrudge him it? The man was a top performer, sex icon and one of the most famous men in the land, with a bucketful of actually very good tracks to back it all up...then he slipped off the radar, but has recently reappeared with a new single, Bodies. Hence the inspiration for writing this review. In all honesty, since the greatest hits album his music has hit rock bottom and I believe it's probably best that he hangs up his microphone as soon as possible! The ...  Read the complete review

A fellow Stokie born and bred, Robbie Williams began his successful career being the youngest member of Take That alongside, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange. Although Take That were a great hit the first time around, you could see straight away that Robbie wanted more from his success. The cheeky chappie from Stoke eventually quit Take That to go solo, and over the years he has had a great succession of top ten hits that have made him one of the most successful British solo artists of today. With an array of hits and chart albums, Robbie followed the footsteps of many other artists to make the Greatest Hits album, which is a great album ...  Read the complete review

Since leaving Take That Robbie Williams has gone on to have a successful solo career despite vthe problems with addiction, depression and falling out with his record company. This Greatest Hits album is a great one to have a sing a long to in the car or when getting ready for a night out however I find that there is a marked difference in quality between the first half of the album and the second half. Premium Review Greatest Hits - Robbie Williams: Let him entertain you! (358 words)

Most if not all artists will at some point release their greatest hits, some sooner into their careers than others. Robbie Williams was one of those who released theirs quite early but he did have enough great and good tracks to fill a greatest hits album without resorting to lesser tracks. Old before I die was originally from his debut album and has stood the test of time very well, it has very good lyrics and is easy to listen to and sing along with. Angels was a big favourite of mine but I think due to overplaying is much less so now. Let me entertain you is a true classic in my eyes and brilliant for karaoke`s and parties.
