Good selection of Sweet tracks over and above the regular hits.

For those of you who lived the seventies but were more of a radio listener that a record buyer, you will like this.

If you are like many other forty- or fifty-somethings, you are probably leaning towards having nostalgic tendencies - for some these tendencies are satiated with a bit of retail therapy.

OK, I know the tendency for music lovers these days lies in some new fangled gadget called the MP3 player - some even go as far as plugging this into the CD player in the car. But there are still some old timers out there who are happy just with a CD player in the car. This album is ideal for those who don't embrace the new fangled MP3, when they are out and about in the car.

As I mentioned this should appeal to the seventies radio listener, but in more ways than one. There are tracks on here that didn't fall within the greatest hits category, so you will get to hear other stuff you wouldn't have heard on the radio, well, UK radio anyway.

      Here is the track listing:

      Ballroom Blitz
      Need A Lot Of Lovin'
      New York Connection
      Rock 'n' Roll Disgrace
      Hell Raiser
      Done Me Wrong All Right
      Little Willy
      Funny Funny
      Co Co
      Chop Chop
      Alexander Graham Bell
      Poppa Joe
      Santa Monica Sunshine
      Tom Tom Turnaround
      Wig Wam Bam

Out of the 18 tracks, the radio listener will probably have heard at least eight of these, so the other ten are a little bonus.

For those who haven't heard Sweet, they were at the very edge of Glam Rock and the glitter thing. They were nearer heavy rock. I don't know if these lads deep down wanted to be rockers rather than glam-pop stars, but, it would seem apparent from some of the other tracks on this album that they did pursue a heavier feel.

This is well worth a listen, you might be disappointed with some of the less commercial stuff on here, but it is worth a try.
