Greatest Hits by the Guns N' Roses really is an absolutely brilliant album and for those of you who do not know who this band is, they are a very famous hard rock band with the famous band members Axel Rose (Singer) and Slash (Guitarist). I bought this CD for £10 from Asda but is now available from Amazon for just £7 which is a great deal for an album of this quality. The album was released in March 2004 and actually reached number 1 in the UK charts proving its popualrity! The album cover really is very cool and the CD looks as though it is really scratched but its not, so that was a very cool feature! The album itself has 14 of the best Guns N' Roses songs ... "For the first time ever, All of their Greatest Hits on 1 CD" Guns ' N ' Roses Greatest Hits is a classic album, and if you don't own a copy, you are missing out! Of course, being GnR , it comes with the obligatory 'Parental Advisory Explicit Content' sticker: I have listened to this CD literally hundreds of times over, and I can only think of 1 F-word and 1 B-word - so I must be getting old and can't understand what Axl is saying, lol. Yes, there are a couple of rude words but it's really nothing that you probably won't hear in the school playground, to be honest! This is a fantastic mix of their own compositions and cover ... This is an album that in my opinion everyone should have in their collection. The album almost never actually made it and had Axl Rose got his way then this album wouldn't have existed. The record company won the battle to release a greatest hits album and in the process got one over on Axl. They did a fantastic job with this album in my opinion as its the kind of album where even if you don't like or don't follow Guns and Roses it doesn't really matter. There majority of people out there probably prefer the music to the band themselves anyway and for that reason this album does the justice. The only downfall about this album is that it does contain several cover ... Read the complete review

Axl ‘shoot myself in the foot’ Rose and his band of merry men return from a lengthy hiatus with the release of their official greatest hits package. Although I say official, in truth had Axl had his way then this release would never have seen the light of day. As hard as he and Slash tried, even efforts in court failed, they couldn’t stop Geffen Records releasing what they saw as an acceptable package. Geffen it seemed, having been taken to the limit with constant promises of Chinese Democracy, took it into their own hands to place together a collection of songs and rush release it. If I were to be honest, this is one of the worst ‘hits’ packages that you will find, not ... Read the complete review

I don?t like this album. This is an album which should not have happened. It makes me feel old to see that G?n?R, or much more properly/likely, Geffen Records, has decided to release it. But it?s not because of this reminder of my advancing years that I dislike this record. Greatest hits albums are a pre-processed, pre-packed, bland affair cobbled together by marketing departments and aimed more at people looking for a present for Dad than at passionate music lovers. Which is why they end up being sold at Woolworths in the adult contemporary aisle or, worse still, in the ?nice price? section. ... Read the complete review
