This soundtrack is presented by Toni who has a beautiful female voice, and presents the latest pop and rock from the era in which vice city is set, the 80's. There are tracks from Michael Jackson, Bryan Adam, Toto and West. Toni talks about how the world should be used as your ashtray in the first track of the CD, but quickly justifies this as the new rebellious wave of punk rock music that is now sweeping the nation of America.
The sound quality on this CD is yet again, not great bit bear in mind it's from a 2002 PS2 game, and is not meant to be prefect. The tracks are entirely about that rebellious feel of pop music, and most of the tracks are rock, although not heavy rock.
Toni is a great presenter and she doesn't sound like she is reading from a script. However, she does talk very fast and that makes her a little hard to understand in places. But the important thing is she doesn't use slang or stupid qoutes... Toni makes references to movies and puns but that's about it.
This CD includes some of the tracks heard in the Malibu club just down the road from the beach dunes. Tracks such as Go West, Call me and the track heard at the demolition bowl, Yes, Owner of a lonely heart. At the halftime track she talks about partying, and how the record was so good she wanted to puke... Nice. Then jokes about how you won't ever get a weather report listening to Flash FM.
At the end of the CD she does an outro about "turning a CD over" to listen to it again, because in the 80's only cassettes existed. Good qoute and quite funny, that's what this soundtrack is all about. I didn't honk too much of the funny adverts though.
In the adverts, BLOX talks about communist germs and how BLOX can help clean your baby with bleach and other dangerous chemicals. Just the five of us is a sitcom re make and a joke on the rubbish American sitcoms where a 41 year old banker sounds and looks like a 10 year old kid. Random and messed up but a slightly funny advert, not as funny as the other soundtrack CDs in my opinion.
