Blue were one of my favourite boybands, especially as I have always liked Lee Ryan's voice. This album was released in 2003, and seemed to be an attempt to move into pop/r 'n' b territory rather than the pop tracks that had contributed to their success until this point. This was reflected in the chart positions from the single releases as the highest charting single from this album reached # 2 (Guilty) and one failed to make the UK top 10 (Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours). Previously, Blue had scored three # 1 hits with Too Close, If You Come Back and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word (with Elton John). ***Stand Up*** The album opens with a ... The morning of Saturday 8th November 2003 was an exciting one. One week after being informed by CDWOW that the new Blue CD, Guilty, was winging its way to me, the thud through the letterbox told me it was here. The Symmetry Of I The Circle Of O - And Oceans
Upbeat, atmospheric and surprisingly accessible black metal.
Second disc may disappoint, and the whole thing isn't quite as experimental as you may expect.
My Kantele - Amorphis
Interesting covers and a more prog/folk side shining through.
Acoustic version was already on the album, and the rest isn't brilliant.
Morphogenesis - And Oceans
If you don't own the studio albums, this is some great symphonic black metal.
Basically inferior versions of album material, sold for a quick buck.
Far From The Sun - Amorphis
A bit of a seventies throwback, if you like that sort of thing.
Boring, disappointing and annoying.
Cypher - And Oceans
More coherent than 'A.M.G.O.D.'
Abandons black metal for weak industrial.
Am Universum - Amorphis
Good enough atmospheric rock.
The dullest Amorphis album so far.
A.m. G.o.d.: Allotropic/Metamorphic Genesis Of Dismorphism - And Oceans
A band moving forward.
It looks like the wrong way.
A Natural Disaster - Anathema
The sadness returns.
Overlong and repetitive as usual.
