The Best Air Guitar Album In The World...ever Vol.1
by groovypigthing - written on 10/05/02 (Very useful, 858 readings)
Rating:
somewhere in the middle. The album is original in that I don't think there has been another Air Guitar compilation released, but seeing as it is Various already released songs, it is only original if the tracks make it original. In my opinion, they succeed effortlessly in doing this. The same for lyrics, it is dependent on the individual track, but I must say that almost all of them are brilliant tracks and well worth listening to. The album boasts several classics and famous names, like Jimi Hendrix, Blur, Queen, Status Quo, and even when the band is slightly lesser known, the quality of the tracks still remain excellent. The brilliant atmosphere that the ...

Rating:
I recieved this CD for Christmas from my Mum, which is not really surprising after 8 weeks of constant hinting that I really wanted it. This is a double album that features a total of 44 top chart hits and amazingly I actually know nearly all of them which is a surprise because normally when I buy a double album the first CD is absolutely brilliant and the second CD only has about 2 or 3 decent songs that I would listen to on it. I admit that the second CD of this album is not quite as good as the first but its still pretty good.I enjoy many types of music such as pop, rock, smoochie songs, and sad songs and i find this album has at least 1 or 2 songs that ...

Rating:
of 2001. Best songs: Steps, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kylie, Kate Winslet, Gabrielle, Geri, Samantha Mumba. Worst songs: D12, So Solid Crew, Bob the Builder, DJ Otzi, Alien Ant Farm. This is an OK compilation - most are similar because they include Various genres. Personally, I prefer to buy the albums by the artists I like, becasue you get loads of great songs that way. The only advantage here is that it is cheaper to have loads of different artists on one CD. ...

Origin - Origin
Immensely powerful, some great riffs and grooves
Not a lot of variation between songs
Abbacadabra Mamma Mia
some good covers
tacky
Forgotten Legends - Drudkh
Subtle yet emotive, organic-sounding, well executed
None
Martyrium - Antestor
Bold, and a nice incorporation of doom and death styles into traditional black metal.
Some songs are a little dull, and the last one a little preachy with its organs and thunderclaps.
The Zydepunks - The Streets Will Flow With Whiskey
Endlessly entertaining tracks
None
Kill. Fucking. Everyone. - Watchmaker
By The Blessing Of Satan - Behexen
Festering Earth - Funerus
Excellent riffs and songstructures, simplistic and engaging, consistently strong
Reissue artwork is pretty weak
