Stand-out tracks for me are Chiaroscuro, Black Boots (the piano-vocal track I mentioned above) and Our Revenge; Saturn Girl is also moody and cool. Paula Cole is immensely talented. There is simply no getting away from the fact, and I cannot for the life of me understand why she isn't more popular. Premium Review An album that is worth the price (103 words)

Rating:

I bought "This Fire", Paula Cole's first album, before I bought Harbinger. Now I prefer Harbinger, (not that This Fire is bad). It is an album so full of emotion and passion that is beautifully sung. It is a shame that Paula Cole does not have more of a worldwide recognition. Harbinger introduces you to the singer that is not afraid to speak her mind or take a stand for her beliefs. Some fun riffs albeit not very original None

Power Supply - Budgie
Successful reinvention, keeping up with the times. Can never be more than a second-rate Judas Priest.

Nightflight - Budgie
First song is pretty cool. The rest are fairly dull.

Never Turn Your Back On A Friend - Budgie
Budgie's style defined, and it mostly works. Soft songs are still the weakest point, and far too frequent.

Impeckable - Budgie
Consistent. Consistently weak.

In For The Kill - Budgie
Heavier sound returns, a couple of classics. Abundance of mediocrity in-between.

If I Were Britannia I'd Waive The Rules - Budgie
Maintains the annual album release pattern. A distinct slump.

Deliver Us From Evil - Germany - Budgie
At least it stopped here. Sad swan song.

Budgie - Budgie
Classic early heavy metal. Second-rate Sabbath substitute.

Bandolier - Budgie
Intriguing and diverse. Still some weak links, though less than usual.
