Advantages: Brilliant cd, I love hard trance!
Disadvantages: Second cd not as energetic at first, but still good!
I would like to see more compilations like this.. a good selection of tunes, not too commercial, mixed well by a popular dj. The first cd, mixed by Fergie, starts off on a light note, with some tracks that are easy tolisten to. Then things get more interesting with tunes from Mario Pui and JFK, livening things up a bit, and one of my favourite hard trance tunes on the cd - Voodoo and Serando - Blood is Pumpin. Some older tracks start to make an appearance, such as Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip, but these are mixed in quite well and deserve to be on the cd. The whole cd is great, and tall pauls tune Rock da House deserves a mention. Modem - Gotta Connect is on both cd's, I don't know why because I think its too old now, but this is soon forgotton with Norman Bass - How u like bass (an uncut version). I must say, most of the tracks on this cd are excellent, and its definitely worth buying this compilation just for the first cd, which is nicely rounded off with Native - Feel the drums, quite an atmospheric track. The second cd is mixed by Yomanda - one of my favourite hard trance dj's at the moment. The cd starts off with a bit of funky trance, if thats possible, but soon makes up for that with Mauro Picotto - Baguette! The cd then goes on to play some lighter tracks, but they're still catchy at the same time, so it keeps your attention, unlike some other cd's where you drift off to sleep! The tunes on this cd aren't normal trance, they are energetic, hence the name of the compilation, and they make a very good combination. This cd doesn't contain that many well known tunes, which makes a change - apart from Public Domain - Bass in the Place as the last track. The cd does however contain a favourite of mine, Ratty - Sunrise. Definitely worth a buy if you like hard trance!

- 31/05/01 Good op - it's hard to write about CD's. This is one of my fave CD's too, but I can't decide between Hard house or Hard NRG! |
