Following the second Harry Potter sequel, the Chamber of Secrets, the film adaptation series of the beloved books of J.K. Rowling were about to get a huge makeover as Chris Columus' involvement as director with the film series came to an end. Taking his place on the director's seat was Mexican Alfonso Cuarón. What resulted in this change of director was also a definitely differing viewpoint to the more child-friendly, sugarcoated atmosphere of the previous films, turning the third film a lot darker, dramatic and bleak, befitting the style of the adjacent best book of the Harry Potter series (my opinion).
