People" it becomes aparent that most tracks on this album Shatner isn't alone, hes supported by various artists that make every track unique on the album when next to each other and gives it a good and varied sound. Some tracks are really when you listen to them closely, quite personal. "Thats me trying" for example is about Shatner trying to reconnect with a daughter he hasn't seen in years, and "What have you done" appears to recall the death of someone close. William Shatner began his career as an actor most famously in TJ Hooker and obviously as Captain Kirk in the original series of Star Trek, but also infamous is his "spoken word" music covers, such as "Rocketman" by Elton John. This though, is another kettle of fish. Its hard to tell wether or not this album is self referencial of all the cheek and spoof impersonators he got from doing his style of music, or is as straight faced as a studio album by any other artist.
