Archetype - Fear Factory

Premium Review Archetype isnt a Archetype of metal (188 words)
by Crazyfist - written on 17/02/09 (Useful, 16 readings)
Rating:

for those who dont know but are interested in a great metal album then this is one you should buy. Containing influences from Thrash, Industrial and Heavy metal bands, Fear Factory really use these to create the already legendary sound of Archetype. Great Thrash metal drumming mixed with, Industrial toned guitars and Melodic riffs to add to an already great sound. Burton C. Bell s vocals are a unique touch for the album as they experiment with a more normal vocal style in some song s rather than the traditional aggressive vocals you will hear in fear factorys earlier works. Containing the Single Archetype and a Nirvana cover School this album is a forerunner in the ...

Premium Review Reassembly (2073 words)
by Frankingsteins - written on 25/05/04 (Very useful, 59 readings)
Rating:

In 2004, ?Archetype? was released by long-established industrial metal band Fear Factory. Their heaviest album in many years, Archetype incorporates all of the band?s previous efforts and expands upon them, producing one of the strongest metal albums of recent years. The album was hotly anticipated and well received by the band?s fans who were under the impression, until only a few months previously, that Fear Factory were no more. REMANUFACTURE A year after the release of ?Digimortal,? disagreements between band members led to Fear Factory disbanding, and ...

Released by: ROADRUNNER, 1995 Genre: Industrial Metal Demanufacture is the second album by the Los Angeles cyber-metal crew, Fear Factory - an album that was about to change their career forever! Album Cover Design: sporting an industrious skeleton barcode, Fear Factory mark the sleeve with a new image and a new sound to boot. A perfect choice that works well with the bands new direction and sound. Album Packaging: Digi-pack, very impressive and a quality Sci-fi inlay with band photos and lyrics. My first opinion of the album - has got to be "is this sound for real?". The moment the first track blasted out it made you sit up and take note of how Fear ...

Return to form, after the nu-metal deviations. Same problems as the second album.

Industrial - 2004

Great songs None really

Creative and distinctive fusion of metal and symphony. Acted interludes are unnecessary and distracting.

An excellent rock album, fantastic from start to finish. Some may be put off by the musical change in direction that Avenged Sevenfold took here.

Some decent guitar riffs, good lyrics Flynn's vocals are on the poor side
