My musical tastes are extremely varied, I can listen to almost anything, my favourite type of music though, has always been dance and trance. So when I heard that DJ Sammy had a new album due out, I quickly rushed over to CD WOW to order myself a copy. Less than a week later and sure enough, my album arrived at my door via the postman, I was quite surprised seeing as the album isn’t due for release until next week. The CD album cost me £8.99 inclusive of postage and packing which, considering that it will hit the major stores (HMV, Virgin Megastores) priced at around £13.99, is excellent value. The album kicks off with the huge number 1 smash hit ... Read the complete review

DJ Sammy is a Mallorcan dance music DJ and this album shows off his music mixing and production skills to the full. It reached Number 1 in th U.K. in 2002. And if its dance music of the highest order that you want then this is what you will get. There are 11 tracks of pure blood pumping through your veins dance music magic. Included in these tracks of course is "Heaven", the awesome cover of Bryan Adams' 1985 song, the regular mix on track 1 as well as "Heaven (Yanou's Candlelight Mix)" on the last track which is track 11. The cover of Don Henley's Boys Of Summer is also a track that you will play over and over as ... Read the complete review

DJ Sammy surprised everyone by arriving from nowhere and nabbing a number hit back in 2002 with his Bryan Adams cover 'Heaven'. The album is a pleasing collection of similar sounds. Who is he: Spanish DJ and producer Samuel Bouriah. DJ Sammy is quite short and makes eurodance music. On this album: We get the huge hit 'Heaven' which is a soaring dance anthem with a great set of vocals. The track builds to a lavish chorus and has some wonderful synths in it which will command a crowd. His followup was 'Boys Of Summer' which was another cover. This pulled out the stops and had a spine tingling synth section towards the end ... Read the complete review

A great album for lots more tracks like Heaven, not so great for more tracks like Sunlight. This is a review of the Scandinavian version of the album bought at an HMV in Yorkshire. I shall avoid clichés like uplifting when reviewing this album I preferred the tracks co-written by DJ Sammy rather than the covers. Musically I thought the originals were very good and original. They do not sound like any of the Trance records I have heard from other acts in Europe. Sunlight has only four lines but is an excellent track. These songs like the covers are well sung by Yanou, Do and Loona. Check various German charts for more of the latter if ... Read the complete review
