Manowar's first live album 'Hell on Wheels' was largely viewed as a disappointment, in terms of both sound quality and performance. It seems unlikely that this follow-up two years later wasn't intended to remedy the situation, but also supplements the original by focusing on the band's earlier, more epic works than the cheap thrill short rock songs of the previous collection. It's great to hear the band's earliest and finest material represented here, particularly in the form of 'Dark Avenger,' 'March for Revenge,''Gates of Valhalla' and 'Guyana (Cult of the Damned)' in chronological order on the first disc, before the inevitable slump of disc two which ...
