Advantages: Very edguy, Tobias Sammet at it's best

Disadvantages: None

The lastest album of this german power metal band. In their carerr this band has gained the status of one of the best power metal bands and this album just suports that claim.

This album starts with mysteria (that was planed to be the title track). An great heavy and speedy song with tobias sammet using all of his vocal ability.
The Piper Never Dies is the longest song of the cd. It starts slow and gets faster and heavierhalf the way to the end, but never that much. Great chorus in the middle and an Iron Maidden ending (that tobias denied in a interview)
We don't need a hero, down to the devil, under the moon, navigator and Children of Steel are traditional edguy songs with the usual catching chorus.
King of Fools, already released in the EP but expanded a little in the album version, is a mid tempo song, somewhat for listeners to rest from the previous song.
Forever is a balad like edguy has used us to. It doesn't really stands out.
Lavatoru Love Machine is nothing like we would expect from this german power metal gods. It somewhats sounds like Helloween and has very funny lyrics, but the originalaty and the Edguy touch is still there.
Lucifer in love is a short instrumental that should depict lucifer having sex with someone (doesn't sounds like). Interesting is the best I can tell of it.
The spirit will remain is also very diferent from the usual Edguy with only Tobia Sammet and the orchestra (that also stars in some other tracks). Very touching lyrics, but Tobias vocals aren't made for this kind of song
The album closes with a altered version of Mysteria, the first track, with Mille Petrozza of Kreator helpng Tobias Sammet in the vocal part.

A very good Edguy album that doesn't betray fans of the band and that might g
ain them a lot more fans.
