Fashion - Original Bollywood Soundtrack

Premium Review Fashion OST- Quality Checked! (304 words)
by aadnan613 - written on 03/02/10 (Very useful, 33 readings)
Rating:

Salim-Sulaiman is probably my most favorite composers among all the young musicians around. They have proved their mettle once again with Fashion's OST. 'Fashion Ka Jalwa' is a heavy, powerpacked song which features heavyduty vocals by Sukhwinder Singh who takes you by storm yet again. Sukhwinder takes us through the twists and tweaks of the song and his powerful vocals make a huge impression. Shruthi Pathak's sensuous voice rules 'Mar Jawan' which is easily one of the best tracks of that year. The composition carries a lot of oomph and a lot of attitude and so does Shruthi's voice. This is trademark Salim-Sulaiman since it carries a bit of Arabic influences,a bit of sufi and ...

Dil Se - Soundtrack

Premium Review Dil Se OST-Masterpiece (364 words)
by aadnan613 - written on 07/02/10, updated on 07/02/10 (Very useful, 49 readings)
Rating:

Mani Ratnam,A.R.Rahman,Gulzar.That should be enough to describe how brilliant the album is. Sukhwinder Singh starts off proceedings with 'Thaiya Thaiya'- a poignant, slow yet powerful song that has minimal use of instruments and Rahman gives center stage to Sukhwinder who is brilliant throughout the song. 'Chal Chaiyya Chaiyya' takes a pinch of the previous track's melody and Rahman adds a lot of punch, beats and energy to make it what it is-one of the most popular Indian tracks that westerners know. Both Sukhwinder and Sapna Awasthi render this with huge amount of energy,Gulzar's lyrics are priceless and carry a lot of soul. Chal Chaiyya Chaiyya is mad, zany and carry a ...

Willow - Soundtrack

Crowned Review Fantasy for Shakuhachi under the Weeping Willow (1547 words)
by berlioz II - written on 23/01/08 (Very useful, 132 readings)
Rating:

are less concerned in slavishly following the action on screen. Willow s thematic usage roughly consists of four basic themes that come and go periodically throughout the score in Various guises, at times full-on in your face and at others more subtly to flit in and out of the textures. The two main thematic blocks are presented back-to-back in the concert arrangement called "Willow s Theme". The first of these is a resplendently heroic theme that still echoes heavily of the older brass-heavy music of Horner s past scores, though as many have noted, it does bare quite a lot of similarity to the opening movement of Schumann s Third Symphony, only being ...
