If you've never listened to a Bowie album before, I wouldn't start with this one. This isn't to say that it isn't brilliant, but it takes a bit of working up to. However, if you've done Ziggy Stardust and Plastic Soul and come up smiling then this is your next purchase. "Heroes", as well as being the best known track, is also the most commercial (and that's saying a lot). This album picks up where "Low" left off, but contains a great deal more of the atmoshpere and paranoia of Bowie's Berlin years.
