This is the best AC/DC album in my opinion and the only one i actually physically own. AC/DC didn't get any better than this. The tunes are killers, the guitar playing is phenomenal, the vocals see Bon reaching his apex. The production on this record is as dry as a bone, and locked down tight. From the opening chord to the last note ... Read the complete review

AC/DC's album "Highway To Hell" kicks off with the identically named title track. You know the one, it's that track with a guitar riff that everyone knows! Angus will rip your ears out with this one, what more do you want! The song is not popular amongst religious groups obviously but it was actually written about a long road through the ... "Highway To Hell" was released in 1979 and came as the sixth album from the Australian Hard Rock band AC/DC. It came as the album prior to the release of "Back In Black" (the second highest-selling album of all-time) and this final seventies record from the band was also the last to feature Bon Scott on lead vocals, as his ... Highway To Hell was released in 1979 as the bands 6th album, but was the last with Bon Scott, who managed to drink himself to death less than a year later. It was their most successful album at the time, and for good reason - its a damned good album. I dont suppose any review of this album would be complete without mentioning the title ... =============== Who are AC/DC? =============== ACDC are a hard rock band formed in Sydney Australia back in 1973. It was formed by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young who are still with the band today. Lead singer Bon Scott died of over use of alcohol in 1980 and they had to quickly find a new lead singer. When they found Brian ... Read the complete review

This one needs 6 STARS! Are you kidding me? Bon at his best - Girls got Rhythm, Shot Down in Flames, Touch 2 Much (maybe my #1 ACDC fave of all time) and of course the title anthem Highway to Hell. Each of these could anchor their own albums - and they're all one this ONE!! Rock doesn't get any better than this folks. If Jim Marshall needs a demo ... Read the complete review

AC/DC were formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by the Scottish-born brothers Angus and Malcolm Young and in 1979 they released one of their greatest bodies of work. Previous LPs had shown flashes of brilliance and a glimpse to what the band were capable of but it wasn't until 'Highway to Hell' that all the pieces fell into place, all at the same ... Few rock bands can claim to have outlasted Punk, Heavy Metal and Britpop, but then, few rock bands are worthy of comparison to the mighty AC/DC. Form in the early 1970s by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, the AC/DC that recorded Highway To Hell were, the Young’s aside, a different band to the one that started out. In the time between 1974’s High ... Read the complete review

Highway to Hell is one of the classic rock albums of the 70's. 20 years on, and it still takes a lot to beat this album by AC/DC. The album glorify's rock n roll in all its swaggering glory and Highway to hell sums up the the lifestyle of everyone from Motley Crue to G'N'R to the Rolling stones, i guess its a timeless song that ... Highway to Hell lacks the power and force of the Back in Black album in my opinion but ther is no doubt it is yet another classic from Ozzie rockers AC/DC. With this alubm you realise how they have become a cult band are highly respected amongst the music industry. this is my favourite AC/CD album with Bon Scott as the singer and it is ... A premeir rock act. A singer who could probably voice cartoon characters, lyrics written for six year olds, the same chords repeated over and over for twenty odd years, and guitar solos that can't be imitated. That's AC DC. When you buy ACDC you know exactly what your getting. No surprises, no 'experiments', no 'different ... Read the complete review

With Highway To Hell, AC/DC at last reached a wider audience. With Robert Lange producing, this album featured a much less raw sound than previous offerings. "Touch Too Much" was a modest hit single in the UK and the band completed a worldwide tour by early 1980. Unfortunately, Bon Scott, the charismatic lead vocalist died after an all ...
