Incognegro - Ludacris ... was the first release from Ludacris back in 1999. As a debut album in Hip Hop, it was as pure as you can get, and as he comes from Atlanta, it meant that without many other artists in the area getting exposure either, he had to release it independantly out the back of a car. However, since then this has been released again, mainly for collectors as it was re-done the following year, 2000, as "Back For The First Time" after he was signed by Def Jam. If you already possess "Back For The First Time", I wouldn t say it s a waste of money getting this, but if you don t love it, then I d say don t bother as there are just a couple of di... The Future Is Now - Non Phixion ... Future is Now is a truly awesome hip hop record by Brooklyn outfit Non Phixion (Ill Bill, Goretex, Sabac Red, Dj Eclipse) backed by quality beats from a plethora of artists including Necro and Dj Premier. This band first got going in the mid 90s but couldn t find a label, amazingly it wasn t until 2002 when this first album was relesed. But what a stunning debut album it is, not one for the youngsters though with a fair bit of profanity, this album covers lots of subjects but has a political focus throughout. The two tracks that really stand out are Black Helicopters and The C.I.A is trying to kill me, obviously being quite a big fan of guitars - I quite like the l... Encore - Eminem ... - Eminem Now I am not a great fan of Eminem however I bought this cd when I first heard Mosh , track 8, I ll expand on this later. I then heard all this stuff about Eminem retiring, this was his last album etc., etc. I am a fan of Dr Dre however, and as he produced the album that helped to persuade me. So it was with a critical ear that I first listened to it. The fact I still have it four years after it s release is testament to the fact I like it, otherwise it would have been boot sale bound by now. The booklet inside has all the lyrics, I like that, and lots of set up photo s, bit too much gun imagery for me but there you go, this is his style. The tracks...
