To The East, Blackwards - Xclan ... The East, Blackwards" was released in 1990 and came as the debut album from the Political Hip Hop group X-Clan. Headed primarily by by Brother J, Sugar Shaft, Paradise and Professor X, the act took much of their inspiration from the work of Public Enemy, who broke through soon before them, this more underground contemporary act from Brooklyn, New York, were found to bring yet more 5%ers, and Afrocentric-based Hip Hop material to play on the trend of this specific time. 1. Act=== The World Class Wreckin Cru was an Electro-Hop, R&B and Hip Hop act consisted of the likes of the MC Cli-N-Tel, the R&B singer Michel le, Alonzo Williams and most notably production from DJ Yella and Dr. Dre (two who would then form the beats and DJ sets behind the legendary West Coast Gangsta Rap squad N.W.A). 808's And Heartbreak - Kanye West ... soon as I heard Love Lockdown I knew I had to buy this album. West has completely revamped his style - i ve always thought he made dull, typical rap music for some reason (I hadn t even listened to much of his music before this, and i made this judgement, how bad am I) but now my opinion has changed and i think Kanye has shown creativity in many ways. Because of his previous work as a producer, he really knows how to mix his music and make it sound great. He has completely ditched rapping in some of these songs which is a big step for Kanye since he became famous for it, but it definitely wasn t a bad move.
