Elvis Presley was a religious man, for all his faults. One of his greatest pleasures was singing gospel music, and even towards the end of his life, when his voice was not always at its best, he always put his all into performing gospel songs. This album however comes from earlier in his career. The original album was released in 1960 and featured 12 gospel tracks including such fantastic songs as HE KNOWS JUST WHAT I NEED and MILKY WHITE WAY. A modern CD with just these 12 tracks would not be good value for money as it would not last long.
